Engineering Mechanics1 review
William F. Riley, Leroy D. Sturges

John Wiley & Sons Inc, 1994

Excellent, Thourough Statics Text
The greatest feature of this book is the generous use of examples throughout. For every type of problem, there is some close example that you can refer to. Even though I didn't particularly enjoy the class for which this text was assigned, I think that the book itself is a great resource, and should be recognized as so.

Mechanics of Materials2 reviews
William F. Riley, Leroy D. Sturges, ...

Wiley, 1998

I also found this book to be very comprehensive. For example, I found material on the mechanics of shrink wrapping, which I don't see in many other books on strength of materials. The only thing I would fault is that ...

Wiley, 1995

Statics and Mechanics of Materials: An Integrated Approach1 review
William F. Riley, Leroy D. Sturges, ...

John Wiley & Sons, 2003

Statics and Mechanics Review
This book covers the material well. Some of the later chapters tend to loose the reader with a bunch of jargon. Overall, the book facilitated my learning of the material. I am still wondering about a solutions manual to accompany the text.
