Maris was good
Mackenzie's magic is the first and only book by Linda Howard which is translated to finnish. absolutely the best scene is about these five Mackenzie's standing there and watching the Maris husband. Then comes Mary and takes care of the situation. And what do these big guys say: Yes ma'am. Like in the old times at school. After reading Magic in finnish, I read Mackenzie family in english ...

A great summer read!
This is first my first time to read Linda Howard and really enjoyed it. It was easy reading and easy to follow the plots. The Mackenzie Family is crazy fun and reminds me a little of my family and in-laws all 32 of them. The only thing I didn't like in reading the bundle was the last 2 stories are not in order, so it took a little fun out of the teasing and jokes. It should be read in this ...

A valuable resource for employers, supervisors and employees
Employers are increasingly aware that sexual harassment is a problem and that they may be in for trouble if an incident happens in their workplace. However, they still struggle to understand exactly what it is and how to prevent it. In this useful manual, attorney Linda Gordon Howard explains U.S. law in plain language and provides real-life examples of sexual harassment. She points out that ...

A rare treat
Howard Schwartz's Elijah's Violin will appeal to both those who love fairy tales and those who love Jewish folklore. The stories have elements of more familiar fairy tales - birds that speak, mute princesses, magic mirrors, love, fear, good, and evil. However, Jewish elements make the stories distinctive. King Solomon appears in several of the tales, as does Asmodeus, King of the Demons in ...

Wolff and Joe
I thought the premise of this series was fantastic. It deals with bigotry, hate, and love. Reading about Wolff and his son Joe meeting their match in Mary is such a joy. Then knowing what Joe goes on to do with his life is just superb. I really wish that she had gone on to do books on the other brothers.

A Scenicruiser Eye View of the Mother Road
True stories of driving for the Big Dog along Route 66. Written in a freindly, come-on-along style that makes it a pleasure to travel the road with Howard Suttle. Humor, tragedy and a love of the road are reflected in each of the stories. For anyone who ever wanted to drive a bus, or take a cross-country trip while allowing someone else to do the driving this is a must read.
Mr. Perfect

A great story all around.
In "Mr. Perfect", I was treated to a wonderful thriller chock full of laughs, intrigue, and sex. While eating a meal, 4 friends come up with a semi-farcical list of what would constitute the perfect man. The problem is, the list gets out of their hands, and into the media, the internet, and beyond. The 4 friends are mortified by their instant celebrity, but that becomes the least of their ...

Pure Gold.
One of the most vilified romances of modern times. I loved everything about it. The plot device is so deliciously reprehensible. What sort of author engineers the horrible death of a wife and two young children as the event to bring two people together? Shame on Linda. The cover art of the red version was superb. Glamor, money and looks personified. Rapped knuckes to the publishers for not ...

When Yale ruled the world...
Ah yes, the classic text. I simply think that there could never be a better tool for learning than this gem. This would explain its continued use for so many years. Although by today's standards, it may be a bit rusty, but if there were a better book to educate we intermediate students on the basics of Chinese life, I would certainly like to see it. The authors may lean slightly Nationalist ...

Sensual, Exciting, Fun Stories
This was my first Linda Howard story and I was blown away by how good this one is. I knew the other authors and bought the book mostly because of Catherine Coulter, but was pleasantly surprised by Linda Howard. All three stories are great. I usually prefer historical romances but this book has made me realize that modern ones can be very good, too.

Very good.....but
I bought this book hoping for a Linda Howard story I hadn't read, only to find the one in here is An Independent Wife. Good story, if you haven't read it yet, though. And if you like Stella Cameron, her contribution was worthwhile, as well.

My first and best Howard
I was more a historical romance fan so I guess that's the reason I was late to discover Linda Howard. Well Son of the Morning is the best introduction to this writer I can think of. Combining contemporary with historical romance this book is simply awesome. Just be sure to start early in the morning because it will be hard to go to sleep without having finished it. The story is about Grace, a ...
