A bit too superficial for me
The screen shots and clip art are great. However, the book is very elementary and doesn't address many techniques in depth. For instance, it touches on albums and keytags, but doesn't talk about categories at all. It says it tells how to add photos to catalogs, but it doesn't. It doesn't discuss how to use catalogs, albums, categories, sub-categories and keytags to really organize photos. ...

makes it very easy to learn a confusing program
I really like the "Teach Yourself Visually" computer books. I have a collection which includes a selection of all the popular "For Dummies" and similar computer guides, and the "Teach Yourself Visually" is by far the easiest for me to understand. The digital photography programs are very hard for me to learn, and this book helped a lot.

Excellent book for an entry level
Pros: the book is colorful, it has picture, step by step instructions, gives you a difficulty level of an exercise, full of tips, color coded by subject, very easy to navigate. Cons: the only wish is that they had more tips and tricks, otherwise it is an excellent book for such complected program as CS3.
