I love this book. The entire series climbs into the top ten of my ultimate favorite books. (Which is really hard to do by the way. I read a ton!) I read this in the eighth grade (I was always a really good reader) and I love it to peices still. Whenever I want something to re-read, this is the one I delve for. I love it! I love it! I love it! Early stages of Weis/Hickman
If you want a lot of interesting, evolving plot, this book has it. It's an early trilogy by Weis and Hickman and it shows. It's a fantasy meets sci-fi piece that is just right for the early 80's *LOL*. I throughly enjoyed this series. I read it once in High School and now that I'm in Graduate school, I re-read it. Great trilogy. It's a classic tragic hero story that you can't put down.

This is the 6th book in the Death Gate Cycle series. If you haven't read the previous ones, this book does do a good job of catching you up. However, for full understanding you should read them in order. The authors do a great job on character development and plot. I could not put this series down.

War of the souls trilogy
I enjoyed the books & read them in a matter of days. Some of my favorite players in these books were offed or otherwise already passed on. I will need to see if some of the other books tell those tales. My only bad thing I can say is the editors failed to catch many mistakes and sentence mix ups in all three books.
