Mother, Mother, I Want Another8 reviews
Maria Polushkin Robbins

Knopf Books for Young Readers, 2005

This story is a delight!
My 2 year old loves this book. The artwork is wonderful, the animals are so beautifully drawn and dressed and the story is a delight! It's repititious, which is important for young readers and the story is so endearing. It gives you the "warm fuzzies" every time you read it.

Chili!: 60 Soul-Satisfying Recipes for America's Favorite Dish1 review
Maria Polushkin, Maria Robbins

St Martins Pr, 1995

Chili, Chili, Chili, Just can't Enough
Maria Polushkin's Chili is one of ten chili books I refer to when I want to make chili differently than the two recipes I usually use. We have chili a lot in our house and both my Dad and my Mama have their favorite ways of cooking it. I grew up with their recipes and I have documented them in one of my "Amazon So You'd Like to Guides" and I hope you take a look at it. Both recipes are delicious, ...

Mama Leah's Jewish Kitchen6 reviews
Leah Loeb Fischer, Maria Polushkin Robbins

Collier Books, 1994

Best Traditional Jewish Recipes
I own a number of Jewish cookbooks but this one can be counted on all of the time. The instructions are easy to follow and all of the recipes are delicious. Over the years I have made close to half of them and I have not been disappointed. It reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen.

St Martins Pr, 1996

Best collection of never fail christmas chocolate recipies.
Everyone that ate the results raved about the biscotti and cookie recipies and I personnally fell in love with Italian Panaforte, a fudgy type of christmas cake. The receipies were delicious and easy to follow without a single failure. If you bake for christmas. or want to, you MUST have this book.

Maria Polushkin Robbins doesn't disappoint with this high-class compendium of culinary quotations on everything from strawberries to beer to garlic to roast beef and everything in between. Some of the gems included herein: "I'm a Christian, but that doesn't mean I'm a long-faced square. I like a little bourbon." - LILLIAN CARTER ...

Everybody Eats Well in Belgium Cookbook24 reviews
Ruth Van Waerebeek, Maria Robbins

Workman Publishing Company, 1996

Authentic
I am a Belgian living in the US and I bought this book in 1996. I vouched for it being authentic and still representative of how people cook today. Even busy families know that sitting together at the table at the end of the day is a great way to unwind and to strengthen the body and mind. They value the time to listen to each other while eating slowly (no tv or other distractions). My friends ...

The One-Dish Vegetarian: 100 Recipes for Quick and Easy Vegetarian Meals8 reviews
Maria Robbins

St. Martin's Griffin, 2000

Love this book! Veggie recipes for everyone!
I love this book! I have had it for many years and I have had my meat eating friends and family ask me for some of the recipes. No weird, exotic ingredients, everything can be found at your neighborhood grocery store. This is a great addition to your cookbook library...even if you are not a vegetarian.

Baking for Christmas: 50 Of the Best Cookie, Bread and Cake Recipes for Holiday Gift Giving, Decorating and ...1 review
Maria Polushkin, Maria Robbins

St Martins Pr, 1995

Lots of good stuff to bake as gifts
The synopsis that appears with this book, is not for this book at all. There is no mince pie or ginerbread in this book. This is no countdown calendar, either. However, I really like this book for what it does have: cookies that pack well to mail to faraway friends, some interesting biscotti recipes (I can't wait to try the cranberry pistachio one), and special holiday breads and cakes, ...
