Watching Nature: A Mid-Atlantic Natural History1 review
Mark S. Garland, John Anderton

Smithsonian, 1997

A fabulous book!
This book really made the mid-Atlantic region come to life for me! I wanted to grab a day pack and head out for a day hike. I'm sure that any serious nature lover would really enjoy this book.

BEA WebLogic Server 8.1 Unleashed5 reviews
Mark Artiges, Gurpreet Singh Bhasin, ...

Sams, 2003

Excellent book - Must have for any 8.1 project
I have been on 3 projects now using WebLogic 8.1 and have been struggling to find out the changes. This book is great. It tells me everything I need to know. I recommend this book more for a reference book rather then a tutorial or guide on learning WebLogic chapter by chapter.

John, Acts: Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary1 review

Zondervan, 2002

Bible Backgrounds Commentary Essential Historical Understanding
I had the privilege of taking a New Testament exegesis course from Clint Arnold. He's the kind of man who is always smiling and is always joyful. He's also a brilliant scholar. The Bible Backgrounds Commentary is exactly that: rather than approaching a Book of the Bible from either a strictly theological or strictly historical perspective, it attempts to provide insight into meaning by ...

Advanced Criminal Procedure in a Nutshell (Nutshell Series)
Mark Cammack, Norman M. Garland

West Publishing Company, 2001

The title of this Nutshell, which is also the usual title of the corresponding law school course, may be misleading. "Advanced Criminal Procedure" would seem to suggest an "Advanced" treatment of issues addressed in "Criminal Procedure." This book is not, however, a further inquiry into the constitutional constraints on police investigation--the subject of Criminal Procedure--but an examination of the procedural aspects of a criminal case once ...

Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary Set6 reviews

Zondervan, 2002

A handy reference that is easy to use
All four books are hardcover and smith bound, measuring 8" x10". The set is a background commentary for the New Testament and includes many, many color pictures, maps, and charts (on every page there is something). Further the set is littered with interesting sidebars which are set as text boxes in the margins or as boxes set within the text. The set is written from an evangelical perspective. ...

Demon Blade3 reviews
Mark A Garland, Charles G McGraw

Baen Books, 1994

Action Adventure By the Blade
It is an action packed journey for a band of heroes to complete their mission. It has humor, action, life and death, and even romance. I found it to be a very good read that kept me reading straight through, but it seemed I had just picked up the book. I would recommend the book to any fantasy and adventure avid reader. Plus it is great for both males and females (me) equally.

Trial by Error (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)5 reviews
Mark Garland

Star Trek, 1997

ST:DS-9 Trial by Error
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Trial by Error written by Mark Garland is a Quark book, as Quark hatches another scheme and his greed brings Deep Space Nine under attack. This book lays a ground work and starts out slow, but don't lose heart as it wraps-up with plenty of action. Quarks is known for his enterprising schemes some of which are suspect for being legal. Odo wouldn't mind seeing Quark ...

Rescue Party (Dinotopia(R))3 reviews
Mark Garland

Random House Books for Young Readers, 1999

I thought it was great!
It was better than I expected. I am a big Dinotopia fan, and not all of the books in the series have satisfied me. I'd have to say that this one is one of the best three. The other two being The Lost City and Firestorm. Anyway, I really enjoyed this book, and most Dinotopian lovers probably will too.

S/Trek Ds9 #18 Saratoga3 reviews
Mark Garland

Pocket Books, 1996

Pretty damn funny
This book is great for a laugh. Quite a lot of stuff on Beavis and Butthead too. One of the funniest books I've read in a long time but it didn't get a 10 because it was too short. Cool pictures of B&B too.
