Focus Psychiatry Review: 400 Self-Assessment Questions

good for psych questions
The questions in this book were pretty good and the answers were illuminating while still being succint. It was a very helpful book but it did not cover neurology sufficiently at all. It works well with another book for the neuro portion.

Hilarious & thoughtful
pre script: [This is not the last book of the Books of Bayern! There is a fourth book coming out.www.shannonhale.com!!] This book is the most humorous of the three that Hale wrote. Razo, the main character, seems to be born to be funny! If you read the other two books, you might note that the plot is quite fast-moving. The plot for this book is not as fast as those, but perhaps has more amount of ...
Historical Linguistics: Theory and Method (Blackwell Textbooks in Linguistics)

intricate reasoning from [unfortunately] limited data
The subject is perhaps one of the hardest problems in history. Yet it is one whose broad theme can be appreciated by many. How are modern languages related to each other, and from what ancestral languages did they descend? Having stated this, the book is not for the lay reader. It is a specialised and intricate explication of the issues in this field. If you are perhaps a scientist in another ...

I want to be Nick Mason!
Once you've read this book, while listening to the included soundtrack, you'll say the same thing "I WANT TO BE NICK MASON"!!! He owns and drives the cars in the book. I'll never be able to do that, but thanks to Nick, he's providing the next best thing with this book. If you enjoy Vintage Race Cars, BUY THIS BOOK! Put the disc in the stereo, crank it up, read along and be taken for a ride!!!
The Phonological Enterprise (Oxford Linguistics)
Mark Hale,
Charles Reiss
Oxford University Press
, 2008
This book scrutinizes recent work in phonological theory from the perspective of Chomskyan generative linguistics and argues that progress in the field depends on taking seriously the idea that phonology is best studied as a mental computational system derived from an innate base, phonological Universal Grammar. Two simple problems of phonological analysis provide a frame for a variety of topics throughout the book. The competence-performance ...

GREAT READ!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first book in the bordertown series I read was a travliers guide. I was hooked after that. This book is a great urban fantasy. I makes me want to run away and just be young and care free. The introduction by Farrel Din is perfect, He is a character I alaways want to know more about. Little glimpes of his charater in other books is like torture. Danceland is like a slice of pie with the ...

An amazing anthology
I bought this anthology for Ginn Hale's novella, Feral Machines-- and it was a great sci-fi read-- but it wasn't the only outstanding story. Erin MacKay's novella ,Crossing the Distance, was smart, and heart-wrenching in a very good way. She took the whole concept of Soul Mates and built an amazing world around it. Astrid Amara's two stories were both wonderful; Lord Ronan's Shoes had ...

I want another copy
For anyone who has been in San Francisco this is a terrific book, I want another copy so that I can display both at the same time, I bought the book back in 1990 at an art museum (who only had one copy). Only now do I have the 11 feet of wall space needed to display both, of course it's out of print, but I want another copy!

Superb book - but what's this about no CD in the USA?
This is among the best car books I've ever seen. The photography is all new - no recycled press photos you've seen over and over. The writing style is clear and evocative of the best story telling. It could have been published as 21 monthly articles in Road & Track. The tone is friendly without being silly. It contains technical information without getting hopelessly bogged down in minutiae. ...
