Borobudur: Pyamid of the Cosmic Buddha
Borobudur was constructed during the eighth century as a guide to the Noble Path of the Buddha. Born from silence and unfolding into the serenity of the other shore, it expresses the glory of Indonesia's awareness and creativity, the smile of her plastic forms over the centuries as well as her travels along the edge of thoughts that cross the endless corridors of memory. Though the western ...

Mark Long knows how to explain complex things in a simple way.
I have really enjoyed the T-SQL training by Mark Long. He doesn't assume that everyone is a Database Administrator already. He approaches the subject from the perspective that his audience is a group of people who either want to become DBA's or just programmers who want to learn T-SQL. This VTC title is a very good introduction to the subject of Microsoft T-SQL.

Toucing and Absurdist must read and SEE PHOTOS!!
I read the online Publishers Weekly review and I strongly disaagree. I would buy this book for the black-and-white photos alone. They're complicated. Touching and absurdist at the same time, they slyly refer to the history of painting and early sci-fi, and the ones taken in the purported "basement laboratory" bear an eerie resemblance to pictures from Abu Ghraib. A great book! It covers generations of fads. Reading it reminded me of good times and bad clothing. I truly enjoyed the book and recommend it highly!

Excellent work!
This book is beautiful! I saw it at Borders today. Even if you are not interested in cockpits you should pick up this book. Cockpits are interesting and these are some of the most famous aircraft of all time. BEAUTIFUL photography. In addition to the photos I really enjoyed the nostalgic look and feel to the book. A very cool book indeed by two of the world's best aircraft photographers. ...

Riddled with self-promotion
This could have been a great guide --- except for the proliferation of "trade-marked" catch words. Every TM that I encountered was another irritant and reading interruption. I was also put off by some of the outdated data. Nonetheless, there are many luseful checklists and resource lists (which I hope will prove current). This inexpensive book is worth the price for those alone. I also bought ...

The Government and Politics of the Middle East and North Afr
I am writing in response to the one review by a reader from Staten Island. As I have read the previous editions of this book and several books by these authors I'm a bit upset with the review that is displayed... Especially since it is a review for the WRONG BOOK. Azzie Layachi which the reviewer cites as being "absent minded" IS NOT one of the authors of this book. Please take care to make sure ...

A Great Book on CB and Radio in General. Good Historic Ref.
Great illustrations and commentary about CB on both a radio and cultural level. Will keep it handy in my 4WD as a reference book for my CB. As a result of this book, I finally figured out and fixed the mystery of my SWR problem! I always wondered why CB was such a fad before, and now I know. It's a lot of fun!

Get in the Cockpit and Fly
If you love aircraft, this is a book for you ! The photography of the cockpits is stunning. The information about the control and instruments of flying from the day Wright Brothers, to the Spirit of St. Louis, the Warbirds of WW II, to today's Spacecraft is extraodinary ! I bought the book just to have a photo of the greenhouse of th B-29 Superfortress, my plane in WW II. I was not ...

Food for Thought
This book is a collection of essays by notables in the gaming field, and their thoughts about the purpose of the Gamemaster, and ideas on how to make the roleplaying experience better for all. While it does have some "try this" tips, it really isn't a "how to do gamemastering" book, in the sense of checklists and steps.
Digital satellite TV handbook

A good first book.
I found this book to be a good introduction to Satellite TV. It was an easy read. I think I went through the whole thing in a weekend. The first half of the book is pretty general. The second half is focused more on specific home satellite TV systems (I skimmed this part). The book comes with a CD-ROM which has color copies of many of the books figures.
