Excellent Reading
This is an excellent book for the average person who wants to know more about database design. The author has an excellent way of explaining the not so obvious and bringing it down to layman's terms. Great learning tool.

SQL review
This is a great book especially for a beginner starting to do SQL queries. The examples in the book are clear and easy to follow and it's nice there's a CD which has good examples also. The book also describes inner and outer joins and grouping data. This book has helped me in my work.

I was originally going to purchase only the book - "SQL Queries for Mere Mortals". However, when I noticed that this set packaged the book with a Multimedia CD, I thought it offered the best of 2 worlds: (1) the book as a reference; and (2) the multimedia guide to pull me through the materials.
