I have the Freeman 10g new features book, but I found this one to be a much better value because it has more detailed information about the 10g new features. I was also happy that the book shows working examples and it contains a full wealth of "how to" use the new features and not just a rehash of the 10g documents.

Another Mike Ault winner!
I have all of Mr. Ault's books, and this one is one of his best works. It contains loads of working scripts and an Internet code download to get the working code. It also has excellent explainations of the concepts and internals from the output of the scripts. A lot of people's criticism of this book is that some of the information can be found on Metalink. Well who wants to have to search metalink everytime you need to look up something. I did not know I needed this book!
I got this book as a vendors prize at Oracleworld and I was suprized to learn that SSD is not just a flash in the pan. I do not recommend hardware, but I had great success with this approach. Since I did not pay for my copy I wanted to give back, so I highly recommend this one as a worthwhile read.
