Busted: Stone Cowboys, Narco-Lords, and Washington's War on Drugs3 reviews

Nation Books, 2002

Very informative!
Many thanks to Mike Gray and Maia Szlavitz for the AlterNet article (included on page 85) on Straight, Incorporated and similarly abusive gulags run by the John Birchers of the drug treatment industry. Thank GOD they're beginning to lose credibility and market share. I'm sure it's due, in part, to investigative reporting over the years by authors and reporters like you. I'll sleep just a little ...

The Warning: Accident at Three Mile Island4 reviews
Mike Gray, Ira Rosen

Contemporary Books, 1983

Incredible read - highly accurate
I read this book 5 times over the course of several months because it combines technical depth with superb and witty writing. As a former Power Plant engineer for Duke Energy, I'm all too familiar with the design of power plants and this account of the accident is very accurate.

Angle of Attack: Harrison Storms and the Race to the Moon26 reviews
Mike Gray

W W Norton & Co Inc, 1992

I Was There
I don't intend to write a long analytical review like some already posted. I just want to say that I was there at NAA as a young engineer during the period covered by this book. I absolutely loved the book. I couldn't put it down and wanted it to never end. To those critics who ask "Is it really true?", I can only say that those parts that covered events that I witnessed personally are uncannily ...

A good Pokemon Choose Your Adventure book.
I picked up this book at a bookstore, and even though I didn't buy it, It looked really good. Now of course this is a good book only if you like pokemon. This is the first Choose Your Adventures Pokemon book. You should browse through it first to see if you like it, but I say that it looks like a really good book.

Drug Crazy : How We Got into This Mess and How We Can Get Out66 reviews
Mike Gray

Routledge, 2000

Dealing with Our Addiction
When it became clear that the medicines called opiates were highly addictive and caused health problems, they were dealt with as nicotine and alcohol are dealt with today. There were honest and realistic public service messages warning of the dangers of opiates, and there was medical help that greatly limited the damage they did to the individual and which had a chance of eliminating his or her ...

Teleworking Explained (Wiley-BT Series)1 review
Mike Gray, Noel Hodson, ...

Wiley, 1993

A book that explains a complicated subject with ease.
Teleworking Explained should be renamed, "Teleworking Explained Easily" It is one of the the most practical books available on the subject. Its chapters are concise and to the point. There are diagrams, photos and models to help the beginner (or advanced) reader to understand what is going on in the complicated world of teleworking. This book should be in paperback so that those on the lower ...

Essential Man-Thing, Vol. 1 (Marvel Essentials)4 reviews
Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, ...

Marvel Comics, 2006

excellent
The comic starts off slowly, repetitively, but soon flowers into an existential, anarchic,nihilist-naive, neo primitivist landscape, which prefigures and pre empts and "pre imagines" Charles Burns "Black Hole" and aspects of Alan Moore by decades. The action takes place in a swamp -- a secluded place, a dank,, threatening, yet pure place, untouched by the corruption of man -- yet it's a ...
