God, Creation, and Revelation: A Neo-Evangelical Theology
Paul King Jewett
Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company
, 1991
The culmination of nearly forty years of study and teaching, this book adeptly balances the philosophical efforts needed in systematic theology with the biblical material in which Christian doctrines are rooted, and it covers well the range of theologies.
The Ordination of Women: An Essay on the Office of Christian Ministry
Paul, King Jewett
Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company
, 1980
"This new essay might well be read before tackling the biblical passages, for here the air is cleared over traditional habits of thought which may obscure the witness of Scripture itself.. . .its gentle and straightforward style can do much to move the discussion along." -- Theology Today In this book, Jewett argues that on the basis of the Christian ideal of the partnership of the sees, women ought to share fully with men the privileges and ...

, 1996
One of the best recent works of Systematic Theology.
Marguerite Shuster has continued the compilation, editing, and additions to the late Paul K. Jewett's second work of Systematic Theology and presents a work which presents clear, deep and well-researched discussion of the most important issues of our time, including gender, homosexuality, abortion and marriage. Although not widely promoted by the publisher, this work is a jewel in a world ...

Fascinating but Flawed
Jewett attempts to present a coherent theology of mankind as male and female. He makes some advances in his cause and presents some cogent and uncomfortably accurate points. However, the logic of his case occasionally falls short of making the case for a new Christian anthropology. Nevertheless, this book represents a positive step towards a reconceptualization of Christian anthropology. ...

I found his detailed historical analysis to be particularly beneficial, as the historical record is often muddled and partial. The book is well worth purchasing if for no other reason than its look at the history of infant baptism. The ...
