Paul Wildish has done an exceptional job of catergorizing and explaining the various ch'i dsiciplines. This book is suitable for those who have never worked with any of the disciplines described, and also maintains a high level of interest for someone who is already familiar with these subjects.

Pretty good for such a small book...
Wildish does an admirable job of trying to convey the history, development and basic principles of Taoism in this very slim book. He has used Eva Wong's material as his main source - this is evident by his use of "ching" as opposed to the more 'standard' "jing" found in many Taoist texts. Gives an excellent overview of modern Aikido
I find this to be an excellent overview of the modern Aikido world. The author presents a very even-handed review of the major "styles" of Aikido that would help someone decide which path appeals to them. I wish I'd had this as a source many years ago! P.S. This book is mainly text and is not a picture gallery or a step-by-step technique walk-through.
