Tucked inside issue number 3 of The Ganzfeld, for your reading and looking pleasure, are humorous picture stories on color theory, milk, where we go when we die, and the lost genre of blank books. And that's just the usual. Bringing together a unique group of designers, illustrators, cartoonists, and artists, The Ganzfeld provides the crispest picture of the state of graphic arts to be found anywhere. Issue number 3 features a unique ...

Coffee Table Art
The Wilco Book is a great book if you enjoy the creative process. This book is less about the band and more about how they record, why they do it, and what the environment around them looks or feels like while they are doing it. It's an open-minded look at a process most of us don't enjoy on the same scale, but that we can all relate to in our own creative lives. The accusations of ...

Each Volume is SUPERB!
...This book along with the previous volume are Fabulous!. Great photo's/details/extensive information about each and every project. Bravo Peter on a great series. Volume 3, is a bit iffy. Even though it continues with the tradition of the other Volumes, it devotes approx half the book towards the kansai airport (which im not particularly fond of). Volume 4 is on the list, those of you in OZ ...

Went back to buy it
I saw this book in the store and then left it behind in a mad fit at register lines that were too long. Two days later, I was back in the store--couldn't let it go. I love this book. It fits somehow with Drawing from Life: The Journal as Art, and I wonder if the two books have the same editor? It's a collection of views into other people's minds, affirmation of things I've thought to do ...

A Great Guide for the Mushroom Lover
I have read quite a few mushroom books in my course of book reviewing, but I would have to say this is one of the best. This book has great coverage on propagation, cultivation, identification and collecting. I like the decision to leave out mushrooms of unknown edibility because it makes the book much more manageable. The photography is excellent. I liked the addition of habitat shots of where ...

Environmental responsibility in architectural creations
Peter Buchanan's TEN SHADES OF GREEN: ARCHITECTURE AND THE NATURAL WORLD centers on ten buildings which illustrate how environmental responsibility influences modern architectural pursuits. Peter Buchanan is a curator and critic: his choices reflect designs which blend environmental responsibility with design excellence, showing how such a focus provides architects with new, innovative ideas.

A nice inspiration releaser.
This is a great book to keep on the shelf and pull out every so often to take a gander and freshen your mind to create some new design thoughts and ideas. I would recommend this to someone looking for a little bit of a different twist on an "inspirational" design idea book.

The Architecture of Enric Miralles and Carme Pinos
The book shows some great drawings with a few photos of the projects. The architecture is dynamic and exciting. The only draw back is the scantness of text and more photos of the projects.
