The contrasting achievements of the two navigators thus receive more of an even analysis here
College-level collections strong in Australian history and early exploration must have Encountering Terra Australis: The Australian Voyages of Nicolas Baudin and Matthew Flinders. It covers the achievements and encounters of these two navigators at the beginning of the 19th century, differing from competitors in examining the voyage of Baudin, rather than Flinders, to provide a different ...

The London Underground of IT Service Management
Looking rather like a treasure map that will lead you to some long buried treasure; this is one book I would have liked to have got hold of a lot earlier. The text presents a model of interprocess relationships based around Demings Plan-Do-Check-Act. The book covers both Service Support and Service Delivery processes. It is a fact that the material is based on ITIL v2; however, don't let ...

Thrill of a Journey
I really enjoyed Reluctant Journey by Peter West. It is a book that really is worth the price of admission. This book was written with alot of imagination and thought and obviously took some time to write. If this is any indication of Peter's writing abilities, the next two books in the trilogy should be terrific!

BIORHYTHMS - A Step By Step Guide by Peter West
In a nutshell is a great description. This easy to use book gives you all the basics. You learn how to chart and understand your biorhythms. It's fun, it's fascinating. I was amazed when I went back and charted my biorhythm pattern for the day a broke my leg. The combination indicated, "Far from your best, really. Your perception is high, but you feel a little sluggish physically. ...

The new Hulk versus the new X-Factor
This is why I read comics. Seriously. When I was just getting into comics, buying anything that looked interesting at 7-11, Toys 'R' Us was carrying story sets released by Marvel. (This was before everything was collected into trades, of course.) I got the three part Hulk story "War and Pieces" and the X-Factor crossover. And I've been getting everything by Peter David ever since. The ...

BEST! Basic Airbrush Book.
I've read seven airbrush books in the 4 and 5 star range. This was book number seven and by far the best book on simple airbrushing techniques. The frisket cutting and blending exercises are precise and inexpensive to reproduce. Getting into airbrushing is expensive and it is difficult to find classes or good books. This book will get you started on airbrush painting technique in an hour or two ...

"Christ: the Miss Lonelyhearts of Miss Lonelyhearts."
"Miss Lonelyhearts" is the 26-year-old son of a Baptist preacher, working in New York in 1933 as the writer of a gossip column. A sensitive person, he reads thirty or so traumatic letters from readers every day, ranging from women with too many children and abusive husbands, to people who have no idea where their next meal will come from, and he must offer some sort of hope to each one. Shrike, a ...

The Secrets of Palm Reading by Peter West
This is a good book for beginners. If you are looking to get a good brief background on palm reading, this will be a good book to start with. I really like how this book shows pictures of actual hands cause it helps to see first hand how some of the lines might look at in real life situations. It is much better than looking at simple drawings which usually represent ideal hands. But if you are ...

Appropriate intervention ideas, inappropriate demographics and epidemiology
I am a Smoking Cessation Peer Advocate for a CBO in Chicago. I was very excited to receive/review this product. I was very disappointed when I received it, however. All of the Epidemiological data is based on estimates derived from the UK population, not the US. There is NO mention of this in the book description, and I believe it to be a fundamental flaw as the data is not generalizable to the ...

The best book on supersymmetry
I have been studying supersymmetry and supergravity, and this is the best book I found. It is very clear and pedagogical. All the derivations are included. It is a very self-contained and up-to-date book. It is also very complete: it includes treatments of lots of topics. After studying it, the student is able to start research on the field.

Damien Hirst's Alone Yet Together, a pseudoscientific installation of fish suspended in formaldehyde in small, identical glass boxes, graces the cover of this volume. As the singular image selected to represent the Pisces Collection, it demands some exploration of wordplay. Pisces is, after all, the zoological term for fish and also the name of a zodiac sign--the astrological sign, as it happens, of the collection's anonymous owner. Devoted to ...

informative and easy to use and understand
The book is well put out with ample examples to compare. The information given rings true and compares with other handwriting books i have. A wide area is covered and here is the drawback. It is an excellent book to buy if all you want is general knowledge as it gives great insight on all parts but lacks in-depth knowledge of each part. If you already have knowledge about handwriting this one ...

Looks for the details in nature
The book "California" is filled with many photos of various areas in California----some of the standard or usual places like Yosemite, etc. But many are of off-the-beaten-path areas that many people would not recognize as being California. I bought the book for photos of the few places I've visited and the only short-coming I can list for this book is that I was hoping for photos of more, ...

Easy enough read but lacks sufficient depth
I'm actually new to this subject and I found this book to read just to satisfy my curiosity and provide myself with some entertainment. Graphology isn't a science so there's no way to actually prove any of what the book claims. Despite this, I still find this to be an interesting read and I have taken note of what it has to say about some of my friends. This book is really easy to read through ...
