Amazing information
This book is so excellent! Everyone should read it, whether having a baby or not! It explains why our body needs certain nutrients and how easily nutrients can become depleted and stay depleted for years and lead to disease. It explains the "why" of things you're always hearing, such as don't eat sugar and flour, or eat more protein. Once you read it and understand how your body works, you feel ...

Well-Rounded for ALL Parents
This book has finally combined all views of medicine from the conventional to the all-natural. I enjoyed sharing this book with my pediatrician, who had great things to say about my approach. I love this book and reach for it every time I suspect a cold or illness. We use it for the entire family! Great all around book. I would give this book to ANYONE, not just those seeking natural treatments.

Excellent advice that works
I bought the hard cover edition of this book about a year ago because I am very prone to colds and sinus infections. I read it but did not follow the advice because you seemed to need to buy so much stuff. This past spring and summer (2001), I got an endless and particularly exhausting sinus infection. I was miserable and I remembered the book and went shopping for supplements. I warn you the ...

A great resource
Everyone knows that human breast milk is best for growing babies. It contains over 100 "ingredients" that can't be replicated in a lab. This book shares with the conscientious nursing mom information about foods to enhance your breast milk's nutritional value and ways to reduce toxins by avoiding non-stick cookware and certain plastics. It has sound research-based information and great ...
When Love Speaks

When Love Speaks is a composite writing about how love affairs go from what SEEM to be the ideal to the somewhat surreal, among partners whose motives on the surface seem similar, but in reality are quite different indeed. It is a book that takes you from a cordial beginning, to a steamy, scorching hot, Passionate relationship, that shrivels under the guise of deceit, manipulation and greed, all camouflaged in a weak con, that ultimately ...

Occupational and Environmental Medicine: Self-Assessment Review
1 review
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins
, 2003
Fine and systematic, but somewhat too basic for the board.
It is worthy reading it for practical aspects of occupational medicine and to some extent as a part of preparation for the board. It is somewhat too basic for the board exam, though.

Highly recommended
As someone who works in alternative health, I can say that my company's staff finds this book indispensible. Our office copy is continually being passed from hand to hand as a resource and reference. It IS expensive, but for the value we get out of it, I'd pay the money again--in fact I'm going to, because I originally came to the page to order a second copy for the office and felt I needed to ...
