inviting invention book
I'm using this fabulous book in my 4th grade classroom to kick off a study of inventors. What a great book to hook students into inventions! The fold-out pages are a hit. The book has been picked up by students each day it has been on display in my classroom. This is a good one!

electronics Education
Excellent publication for anyone interested in learning about how the wonderfull world of electronics got started. This publication goes through the who, how and why we have computers and electronic devices in our world today. I have used this publication as an "educational gift" for many of my customers. It will never go out of date!

Make my day--define technology
What is technology? Can you define it? "Eyewitness Technology" defines technology as "the science and art of making and using things." What does THAT mean? Let's try again. The cover says: "Discover the ways technology has transformed everyday life--from the largest structures to the smallest electronic devices." There are pictures of recognizable objects: the Coliseum, a telephone/fax ...

I loved this book
It is very easy to read, has plenty of illustrations/pictures. There is soooo much information in this book, I recommend it highly, even for adults. I bought this book in order to learn where certain inventions and discoveries came from. It starts out explaining stone tools (c 3,000,000 BC), the use of fire and continues on throughout time. It ends in 2001 with self-cleaning glass ...

Beware! This REALLY IS a childrens book!!
If you want to explain the concept of robots to children, this is a good book. If you want to know anything on the subject as a teenager or an adult, there are better books out there showing better robots. I suppose that's not really a problem as this is clearly listed as a kiddies book, but look elsewhere on Amazon for truly informative books on the subject, as anyone over the age of 10 won't ...

Part of the "Eyewitness Science" series, this book provides the reader with a close look at electronics. Artwork explains how and why things work and 3-D models make even the most complex concepts clear. The book demonstrates the original experiments, and explains the principles behind the major scientific inventions and concepts. Specially-commissioned photographs and text written by experts in their own fields make the most intriguing theories ...
