A "Big Picture" Christian Perspective on Wealth Transfer
Christian financial planning icon Ron Blue reveals the hidden weakness in most of the "estate planning" Christians (and non-Christians) end up pursuing: We focus too much on tax strategies and the mechanics of asset distribution at death, rather than focusing on how we can best deploy our assets to do the most good while we're living AND upon our deaths. Ron encourages a thoughtful, caring ...

Speechless.
[I should start with the fact that I have a logo in this book.] Excited and nervous at the same time, I flipped through to find that the book was pretty much as advertised -- critiques and analysis by 4 top creative minds on some 500 great logos! However, it seems that the book may have been rushed to it's completion. Not all the logos are critiqued by all 4 authors. And there's no ...

Laughs on Every Page
I can't say I'm a huge fan of Jeff Foxworthy. Like everyone, I guess, I enjoy his "redneck" humor but what I appreciate the most about him is that he has helped bring a number of other comedians to the world in the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour." One of the comedians who owes the most to Foxworthy is Ron White, a debt "Tater Salad" acknowledges very clearly in this book. Foxworthy deserves his ...

great family guide to finances
this book has so many great ideas for teaching kids how to manage money at an early age. one idea to encourage children to give was to tell them you will match their giving amount, just like real jobs do. it also focuses on being thankful for our blessings, which encourages children to bless others who are less fortunate. they also show how to give a visual example (using plastic people and ...

Great start to finding your answers
What a great book to begin understanding the life of pre-retirement and after retirement. This book does a wonderful job of being objective to the many options available. There is no clear cut answer to growing old and decisions should be made once the options are understood. This was fun and enjoyable to read!

Great book for beginners - High Level Overviews
I use this book whenever I am explaining to a class a general overview of computer technology. The artwork and graphics are a fantastic talk point to depict how things are working inside the machine. Secondly, the terminology is accurate and well organized / defined. I'm a big fan of "For Dummies" books when giving someone a first pass of any topic. These are just a step up in complexity, ...

Every school district administrator should read this.
Mr. White doesn't claim to have a system to cure all of the schools' ills but he certainly has a good start. He also makes the statement that today's kids aren't any worse than we were but just the boundaries aren't as well defined as we had back in the 50's and 60's. Mr. White does admit to his failures, not every one has coming through his doors went out a better human being but many are ...

Four top speakers give advice that can help virtually any speaker
I was so interested in the title of a CD program, PUBLIC SPEAKING SUCCESS, that I made it a point to both get and listen to it as quickly as I could. The fact that it featured four top speakers was an added attraction . . . Nido Qubein, Ron White, Brian Tracy, and Chris Widener, each had much to say about their respective topics, and their comments would be of value to virtually any ...

Best book I've read about true wealth
This book can be read in a night but contains wisdom for a lifetime. Expecting another book about estate planning, I was pleased to find only the essential data needed to introduce the subject and the bulk of the content about thoughtfully (and prayerfully) making the six decisions about wealth transfer. This is the first book I have read by Ron Blue but I suspect it is one of his best. ...
