PvP Volume 3: PvP Rides Again2 reviews
Scott Kurtz

Image Comics, 2005

I beat Tetris! Whoo!
I've said it before (this would three times now on Amazon ;)) and I'll say it again: PvP is a wonderful comic strip! If you're an 80's child, gaming nerd, or even just a fan of well produced and genuinely funny comics...you should find a lot to like here. This is another wonderful collection of great strips. If you're followed the comic online, you may run into some storylines that you've gone ...

Knights of the Blood11 reviews
Katherine Kurtz, Scott MacMillan

Roc, 1993

Good, Fun Book
I'm a little bewildered by some of the reviews below. The first review was my first guess that the cup in question was the Holy Grail. I understood it simply to be a sacramental cup from a church. The blood drinking is a very Medieval thing, though a bit pagan in origin (drinking of an enemies blood transfers their power to you). It's a book that doesn't take itself too seriously... It's fun, I ...

Truth, Justin And The American Way4 reviews
Scott Kurtz, Aaron Williams, ...

Image Comics, 2007

HILARIOUS SUPER HERO FUN
One thing that I find often sorely lacking in comics today is fun. When's the last time you really had a good, laugh out loud time reading a comic? That's exactly what you'll get in Image Comic's "Truth, Justin, and the American Way" a trade paperback that collects five issue limited series written by Aaron Williams and Scott Kurtz with the superb art of Italian cartoonist Guiseppe Ferrario. ...

At Sword's Point12 reviews
Scott; Kurtz, Katherine MacMillan

Penguin Books Canada, Limited, 1995

At Sword's Point - A Quick Review
This is a fine sequel to Knights of the Blood. It whets your appetite for more as the story unfolds. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any more of these books. However, I am a big fan of these type of books - that being any decent Vampire books that are don't become a soap opera and stick to the action.

Real Life: The Year One Collection3 reviews
Greg Dean

Starline Multimedia Inc., 2004

HILARIOUS STRIP THAT HITS CLOSE TO HOME
I love comic strips...good comic strips and so I was delighted when I had a chance to read Greg Dean's "Real Life" collected edition of his online strip. This book collects the entire first year of the strip starting in November of 1999. Dean's strip revolves around the exploits of his main characters Greg (himself) and his two close friends Dave & Crystal. Call it kind of like a Drabble for ...

Scott Kurtz

Image Comics, 2006

A great collection of strips!
PvP is a wonderful comic strip. If you are not familiar with this comic, this collection is a great way to just jump in and start enjoying this series. If you're an 80's child, gaming nerd, or even just a fan of well produced and genuinely funny comics...you should find a lot to like here.

PvP: The Dork Ages9 reviews
Scott Kurtz

Image Comics, 2004

Make Mine PvP
I first stumbled onto PVP as a webcomic and was instantly addicted. Obviously when The Dork Ages came out, I was excited about being able to get the Dork Storm issues in one handy trade paperback. I couldn't put it down. "Funny" doesn't do it justice. For any fan, this is a must-buy.

PvP Volume 2: Pvp Reloaded5 reviews
Scott Kurtz

Image Comics, 2005

Kurtz is a genious
When i first meet PVP webcomic i fell in love with all the staff, i could easily identify myself with every one of them in diferent levels, then i became a complete fanboy of Kurtz's work. This PVP Volume is as good as the first volume was, and a easy way to own the comics that i in my country would never find in a local store.

Scott Kurtz

Image Comics, 2008

Better and Better
Kurtz has continued to show profound craftsmanship within the world of Webcomics. PVP V.5 is a testament to his art both in written phrase and visual penmanship.

How to Make Webcomics21 reviews
Scott Kurtz, Kris Straub, ...

Image Comics, 2008

Informative, goes beyond those useless "how to draw" books.
In here isn't the usual "how to draw" book where they tell you where to put the circles and the eyes and such. It's a collection of tips and tricks to make and publish your own webcomic with such details as the differences between a TIFF and a PNG file and when to use which, what good character design entails, how to get around writer's block, what's needed to run a website, how to interact with ...

PVP Volume 6: Silent But Deadly (PVP (Image Comics))2 reviews
Scott Kurtz

Image Comics, 2009

Repeated Storylines But Still Good Ole PVP
This is the first time I have been compelled to write a review for a book. So first I will admit I have not fully read this volume, but I was only a few pages into the volume when I realized there are repeated story lines (brent and cole meet male witch comic bookstore owner). I flipped through it and saw at least one more story line I have read before (cole's car gets gassed by skull). The ...
