great book perfect study guide for CLEP
I am 43 years old and had no US History since high school. I read this book in its entirety and took 2 of the practice exams and passed the CLEP with flying colors. The explanations of the correct answers to the practice tests were very valuable reading as they were very to the point. Highly recommend this book, would have been lost without it.

Very Comprehensive, do NOT cram!
Although I only received a 500 (23%) on the actual exam, that was only because I crammed and didn't try to adequately prepare and study for the exam. It wasn't the publisher's fault, but rather my poor preparation. I'm supposed to rate the book's content and that is what I'm doing. This is a great book. If you have knowledge of the topics you should do ok. It is not for someone looking for the easy credit. I did this and it was brutal, I did pass. It would have been easir to take the regular class. If I had not been in the desert I would have choosen the class.

I found this book very helpful while studying for the MAT. The CD with the practice test are extremely valuable when studying,and really help to get a great over view of test material.These practice test are very simular to the real MAT. If you are able to score well on these practice test then the real MAT should be no problem.

I took the clep and passed with a 59. I would not have passed without this book. Study and know the different theories, particularly Piaget. The overall test was not as easy as some have described.If you study and learn the contents of this book you will pass. Definately recommended.
