One of the greatest duo's to grace a stage
I love this band. I love their story. Their CD's are on my desert island list. Acquaint yourself and set a spell. You won't be sorry. Then get their music. Love it and laugh, and cry. And, Steven, if you are out there, "the ballad of 4 happy cats" is my favorite song ever. EVER!

Very interesting
Saving Private Ryan and The Triumph and the Glory have sparked an interest in me about WWII. The novel isn't quite as good as the movie but anyway this book is a great behind the scenes look at the making of a terrific movie.

Highly recommended for historical fiction enthusiasts
Steven James' Godiva And The Golden Dragon is a superbly written historical and romantic novel set in the last years of Anglo-Saxon rule in England. Starting with the famous ride of Lady Godiva. Spanning A.D. 1057 to A.D. 1066, Godiva And The Golden Dragon wonderfully mixes history with unforgettable characterization, seizing the reader's consciousness and refusing to let go until the very end. A ...

Rabbit Production: 8th Edition
If you can only get one book on rabbits, this is the book to get! Considered by many rabbit breeders, exhibitors, owners to be 'THE' book on rabbits. The authors are rabbit owners/breeders themselves and they know whereof they speak. Easy to read and understand, it includes a history of rabbits, genetics, feeding, housing, breeding, medical care, the merits of rabbits as pets, rabbits in ...

Leave the Lights on
I'm a wimp, so I usually steer clear of thriller books. However I definitely loved this one, even though I may not sleep so well tonight. There are no graphic sex scenes. There is no profanity. There's just a beautifully written, edgy, scary thriller. How refreshing! The characters are believable. They're not perfect; rather, they're flawed, just like you and me. Since the loss of his wife, ...

For Readers Interested in Writing
A novel that uses first person, present tense is not easy to find, probably because there are not many convincing reasons to use it. In Soulsaver, James Stevens-Arce does it well. This book is an interesting and fast-paced satire. The protagonist, Juan Bautista Lorca, is a callow youth blinded by the society in which he lives. That Stevens-Arce chooses to tell his story from ...

Wonderful !
I am a nursing student. I happened to notice this title on amazon. I have to tell you, that I know that I will be a better nurse because I read this book. I think that it should be a mandatory part of the curriculum in the every program for all of the health care professions. It is very difficult sometimes, to know what it is like for the patient. This book made that realization abunduntly ...

Ian Myles Slater on: Invaluable, but Handle with Care!
So Dover Publications has now (2004) reprinted "Teutonic Mythology" under the "Phoenix" imprint, apparently in two formats (bindings). I look at my copies of the previous (1966) Dover paperback edition of James Stallybrass's 1883-1888 translation of Jakob Grimm's "Deutsche Mythologie," with the four volumes bound in different colors, and I feel terribly old. They were purchased at less than a ...

Powerful and Enlightening
I am currently a high school student that read part of this for a Civil War class and let me say this is one powerful book. With people who were the slaves themselves tell you their stories, you learn alot about the antebellum period. I would recommend this book for any mature person due to the fact that some of these stories show the true horror of slavery.

Great Twist on a Christmas Classic
I am a third-grade teacher, and I loved this story. The chaos that is portrayed on the pages of this delightful picture book is so true regarding what it is like the last few days before Christmas vacation. I especially loved reading about the room mom commandos and the yearly Christmas pageant. I have bought this book as a gift for several of my colleagues who have also thoroughly enjoyed it.

Examples make the case
For anyone preparing to testify, or for those who testify on a regular basis, this book will be of great help. The text deals with basic philosophy as well as reasoning behind the typical attorney thinking. But, the strongest aspect of the cook involves the many examples used to illustrate concepts and techniques.

A gift to the soul
"Sailing Between the Stars" has been a gift to my soul... and to my faith. Most of my Christian years have been spent trying to decipher the undecipherable, reason out the unreasonable and comprehend the incomprehensible. And I've found that it's in those times of perplexity that I draw closer to my Creator as I seek not just to know ABOUT him, but to truly KNOW him. This book by Steven ...

Moon Knight is the Best
Its been a little more than a year since volume 1 came out, and I've found that volume 2 is as good or even better than the first one. The art continues to improve, and being in black and white just adds to the mysterious feel of Moon Knight. This volume contains issues 11-30 of the first run of Moon Knight comics, first published in the 1980's. It continues Moon Knights battles with the ...

Let THE Story Touch Your Heart Again...
There is only one story that really matters: THE story of God reaching down into history to redeem a people for Himself. We live in that story, as we journey as vagabonds toward heaven. Four hundred years ago, a prisoner in an English jail retold THE story in such a fresh and masterful way that his words have been a bestseller ever since. That prisoner, of course, was John Bunyan, and his ...

Numismatic Book of the Year
My name is Lee Martin and I am the founder of the Numismatic Literary Guild. I have been privileged to review many books and usually they are most satisfactory, however few are regarded by me as N.L.G. Book of the Year material. This book, in my view, merits that thought. It is for everyone in numismatics and is even a "must have" for those who may become heirs, but lack the know-how of what ...

An unforgettable collection of masterpieces.
Of all the movements in 20th century literature, Imagism is my favorite. If you're as sick as I am of angry, modern, "confessional" poets (yes, I'm sure your childhood was awful, now see a therapist and get on Prozac), then take a look at this collection. While some of the poems here are widely anthologized (including Wallace Steven's, "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird" and William ...
