Pauline Frommer's Italy: Spend Less, See More (Pauline Frommer Guides)
Fantastic Book; Good format and writing is not as dry as other travel books
My wife and I just got back from a week in Italy relying this book. The book's formatting made it easy to use. We selected all of our hotels using this book, trip adviser, and the New York Times. In retrospect, we would have been fine if we'd relied only on this book. The writing is also entertaining. My wife found especially helpful that this book contains writers' opinions about various ...
Frommer's Irreverent Guide to Rome
John Wiley and Sons, 2005
Trustworthy Advice and Spry Wit
This guidebook is great! Other guides will tell you what Italy is like. This one tells you what you'll like (or try to skip)about Italy. It's indispensible for American travelers who want the dish and don't want to waste their time visiting cheesy places and tourist traps. The author's views were refreshingly candid, humorous and knowledgeable.
Frommer's Italy Day by Day
Visually magnificent, useful, organized
These books are a little overwhelming, to be honest. Between the sexy, glossy pages with even more enticing photos, or the million ways to organize information and plan countless trips, it can be difficult to approach without some sort of plan or goal. Fortunately, this book seems to know that and offers, in the very beginning, some best-of items in various categories for the whole country, as ...

Best I saw on the bookstore
Great guide, breezed Brussels with this, truly the best and where the people are. Shame it doesn't cover more of Germany than Berlin and Munich.
