What will you be for Halloween? Mark Todd answers that perennial question with eleven clever poems and illustrations. A mysterious mummy, groaning and moaning, bandaged from head to toe. So Far, So Good1 review
Mark Todd

Orion, 1999

From the Horse's Mouth
So Far, So Good is a superb read. It is the autobiography of Mark Todd, New Zealand's equestrian icon, and international event rider of the century. It is fascinating to read of his early life in New Zealand, and of the sheer hard work and detirmination of his early years on the international three-day eventing scene. This book also reflects the early years of New Zealand eventing, as Todd ...

Whatcha Mean, What's a Zine?12 reviews
Esther Pearl Watson

Graphia, 2006

Great resource for starting or teaching about zines
This book takes the joy of zines and collects samples and advice into one compact volume. Looking forward to using it as a resource when I head a project for classrooms and individual students to begin producing their own zines. I have looked at many books and think this one is the best!

Novice Eventing With Mark Todd1 review
Mark Todd, Genevieve Murphy

Trafalgar Square Pub, 1996

An informative book aimed at less experienced riders
This is a very good read and is handy as a reference for problems that may arise. It is more appropriate for less experienced eventing riders, perhaps those just getting started. More seasoned competitors will find Mark Todds Cross Country Handbook more useful. It is well illustrated and has a very good, helpful section on choosing a horse.

For Your Eyes Only!14 reviews
Joanne Rocklin

Scholastic, 1997

Really holds your interest..
When the new substitute teacher, Mr. Moffat, asks Lucy's class to keep journals, she writes everything, hoping Mr. Moffat can and will keep it all secret. Lucy writes her real, hardcore feelings about her best friend, her secret love, and her dream to write poetry one day. She also writes about the daily upsets that grind her down-her nasty old apartment building, her griping mother, and Andy, a ...

Monster Trucks9 reviews
Mark Todd

Houghton Mifflin, 2003

My son can't get enough of this book
We got this book from the library and now that it needs to go back I don't think my son will part with it. We read it 4-5 times a day and then when we aren't reading it he sits alone and pretends to read it. I need to get him his own.

Advanced PHP for Flash9 reviews
Steve Webster, Matt Rice, ...

Wrox Press, 2002

Taking PHP and Flash into Deeper Waters
I bought this book after working with and really appreciating the first book in this line - Foundation PHP for Flash. The first book was extremely helpful in building a foundation in working with Flash > PHP > database applications. This advanced book takes many of the concepts of the first book into deeper application and shows how to work XML into the equation as well in one of my favorite ...

The Pain Tree5 reviews

Houghton Mifflin, 2000

Go To Your Room, This Instant!
I grew out of my teen angst as I grew out of my Cure T-shirt. Where I used to get lost in poetry, now I'm lost in biros and bankstatements. Still-and I don't understand it-'The Pain Tree' is simply my favorite book. Handy-sized, softback, unassuming-and chock full of illustrated treasures! Reading it takes me right back-in palate, in texture, in sureness of purpose-to my old bedroom, where a ...

Tamped, But Loose Enough to Breathe
Mark Todd

Ghost Road Press, 2008

In this collection, Mark Todd explores the interaction of man and nature with respect and an obvious delight. Whether it's the grit and unrestrained passion of men laying the railroad or the hope-turne-to-despair of young love, Todd's narrative collection is a panoramic view of humanity in all its forms. "It's watchful journeyed roads/ that can draw in our thoughts,/ naked honestly fixed/ on what each bend brings, each/ lurch in the grade ...

Charisma1 review
Mark Todd

Half Halt Press, 1989

A wonderful story of eventings greatest star
Mark has written a wonderful and moving story of his amazing horse Charisma (Podge). This book is a must-read for any Three-Day fan, or horse lover in general. Informative and complete with excellent pictures.

Start Your Engines: A Countdown Book5 reviews

Callaway Children's, 2000

A colorful way for children to learn to count!
I teach a kindergarten class, and keeping children interested in learning numbers is not easy. This book, given to me by a friend, made the children (especially the boys) sit up and pay attention. Some of the mothers would like copies too! I recommend this book, not only as a teaching tool, but because it is beautifully and colorfully illustrated!

Mark Todd's Cross-country Handbook1 review
Mark Todd, Gillian Newsum

Kenilworth Press Ltd, 1995

A helpful and enjoyable book
This is a great book for both the resonably experienced rider and the rider just starting out in eventing. It is clear and concise and has great photographs. His section on choosing a horse is excellent.

The Silverville Swindle3 reviews
Kym O'Connell-Todd, Mark Todd

Ghost Road Press, 2006

Small Town Crack-up
As a former student of Mark's, I can speak to the quality of writing. If you have ever spent any time in a small town, you will laughing by the end of page one! It hearkens back to the reality of life in isolated mountain towns. Quick read with a deep meaning! Check it out. :-)
