Rainbow Six is five stars!!
This book sticks with you, every now and then, a segment of this book will flash in my mind and I have to stop and think where did i read that from and sometimes it comes from Rainbow Six. What makes this such a good book is the games that followed it. Rainbow Six Las Vegas is one of my favorite games, and one of the reasons for that is because Rainbow Six was such a good book. This book is ...

Executive Orders (Jack Ryan)505 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 1997

Fast Paced and Thrilling
If you are a fan of Tom Clancy you will love this book. It has all the aspects a book require to make it a great read. Twist after twist this book will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. The events in this book are so realistic you might as well be reading a non-fiction book, that's part of what makes this book so good. If haven't read the books leading up to this I would ...

The Bear and the Dragon (Jack Ryan)1067 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 2001

Lengthy, but interesting - I recommend it
For President Jack Ryan, things have never just rolled along smoothly. After the Russians discover great mineral wealth in Siberia, the CIA discovers that China is casting greedy eyes to the north. America is in a race to block China from grabbing the wealth that is just across the border, but will they succeed? OK, when reviewing books, sometimes you are with the majority, and sometimes you ...

Debt of Honor (Jack Ryan)206 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 1995

one of his best
I have read every Clancy book and this one has got to be one of my favorites. A complex tale that reads so quickly, it is an interesting, plausible tale of how one man's dedication and determination to right how he was wronged, or at least thinks so, can loose hell upon the owrld. Again, Clancy seems to know what is going to happen, or at least I think bad guys get their ideas from him.

The Cardinal of the Kremlin134 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley Books, 1989

Cardinal of the Kremlin
I had read this book previously, but wanted to read it again. Clancey's books are just too good to read only once.

Red Storm Rising287 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 1987

fast and furious
I first read this book way back when I was 15 and to be totally honest I gave up reading it after a while ( I was more into girls and Iron Maiden at the Time). Now 36 (still into Iron Maiden and my wife ;)I gave it a shot back to Mr. Clamcy's RED STORM RISING. By far the book it's impressive, fast and furious. Although the world had changed a lot since the publication of this fine war book the ...

Patriot Games (Jack Ryan)172 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 1988

Still my favorite Clancy novel
This is still my favorite Clancy book ever. It's the most personal Jack Ryan story and is very, very emotional (and thus very gripping) for that reason. The only time I've ever cheered at a novel was while reading this! This book has much less technical and military minutiae than any of his other books and I actually prefered that. If I want all the specs on a pistol or mortar round, I'll look it ...

Clear and Present Danger (Jack Ryan)158 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 1990

One of my favorites by Clancy
This is my favorite novel by Clancy! This is a good balance of action and political intrigue that I crave. I wish more would create such intrigue as Clancy did in this book. I like politics and I like it alot when an author shows how corrupt politics can get and the scheme that they can create. This novel gives a good insight into what possibly might happen, when politics and personal ...

The Hunt for Red October (Jack Ryan)305 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 1992

A Technothriller Classic
As Clancy's first book, this novel is unsurpassed in terms of suspense, technothriller insights and geopolitical gambits. His lead character, Jack Ryan, makes his debut in this book, setting the style for his subsequent books. The key skill that Clancy possesses is the ratcheting up of the stakes on an epic level. This book set the bar for this newly formed genre. It is essential reading for the ...

Tom Clancy

Berkley, 1994

few and far between
this one of the strongest books out of any in the series. i'd tell everyone to give it a shot. cause there's some bad @#$% "you no what" that goes down. and that's all i'm going to say!

Tom Clancy, Carl Stiner

insight of new troop
Why this book? You can understand why they are called special forces not only commando.

Special Forces: A Guided Tour of U.S. Army Special Forces19 reviews
Tom Clancy, John Gresham

Berkley Trade, 2001

Beyond the Beret: Clancy's book dispels myths about SF....
Special Forces, the seventh and final entry in Tom Clancy's nonfiction Guided Tour series about America's armed forces, sets its sights on the shadowy -- and often misunderstood -- roles and missions of the men the author calls "the quiet professionals" of the Army's Special Forces command. Although the public image of the Special Forces stems from such movies as John Wayne's 1968 cornball ...

The Teeth Of The Tiger (Jack Ryan)814 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 2004

Worthless
I'd read most of Clancy's others, but by the time Jack Ryan became president of the U.S., this whole series ground to a halt for me. And that (Debt of Honor) was the last Clancy novel I read--until I picked up Teeth of the Tiger in an airport bookstore so I'd have something to distract me on a 3-hour flight. The first thing a novelist has to do is get the reader to "suspend disblief." Jack ...

The Sum of All Fears204 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 2002

My most unusual review
I picked up the hard copy edition which was more than two inches thick containing 798 pages and wondered if I really wanted to read such a large book. Since I had read seven of Clancy's books and "Search for Red October" was one of my favorite movies, I decided to give it a try. Soon after starting the book, I knew it was going to be a thriller that I would like but realized that there was ...

Cybernation (Tom Clancy's Net Force, No. 6)28 reviews
Tom Clancy, Steve Perry

Berkley, 2001

one of the best books ever
overall i thought the book was excelent. the book kept me on my toes thinking about what was going to happen. the book was action packed with not only the whole gun slinging scene but also in the scence of how Tom portrayed the world years from now. I love how he made everything electonic. and how everything was made into a thechnologicaly advanced system. the plot kept moving making the ...

Night Moves (Tom Clancy's Net Force, No. 3)40 reviews
Tom Clancy, Steve Pieczenik

Berkley, 2000

diction and dialect
Diction, different ways of speaking a language, and dialect, the author's word choice, all affect this novel extremely. Because of the fact that it has a dual setting in both England, and Quantico, Virginia, make the author's word choice one of the only ways that the reader can discern between the two settings. In this passage, the diction used implies that we are in the U.S. "You're in the ...

Red Rabbit (Jack Ryan)613 reviews
Tom Clancy

Berkley, 2003

Very Good character driven novel
This novel is like "Cardinal of the Kremlin" a character based novel, and this one is based off an actual event. John Ryan and the Foley's have to stop an assassination by the Russians. The Foley's move to Russia and Jack is starting his career in the CIA. Clancy is introducing his main characters all over again and showing how they got started and how the Foley's got to Russia, when we meet ...

Breaking Point (Tom Clancy's Net Force, No. 4)18 reviews
Tom Clancy, Steve Pieczenik

Berkley, 2000

Foreshadowing
The American Heritage Collegiate Dictionary defines foreshadowing as presenting an indication or event beforehand. If you use that definition, then Breaking Point is full of foreshadowing. The first example that is evident of foreshadowing in this particular novel is in the prologue. In this particular portion, the narrator presents a character, an old man, who is a stock character, who is ...

Hidden Agendas (Tom Clancy's Net Force, No. 2)50 reviews
Tom Clancy, Steve Pieczenik

Berkley, 1999

Almost a companion book to Net Force 1
This book is as great as the first one. The outline story is much more weaker but the personal stories of all characters (Alex, Toni, Tyrone) finish in this book (althrough they continue in next books:-)). If you (again) don't expect Clancy-class story, you've got (again) a very good book.

Point of Impact: Net Force 0524 reviews
Tom Clancy, Steve Perry

Berkley, 2001

Tom Clancy at his Best!
There is an illegal drug being sold on the Net that makes you Superman. The FDA calls on Net Force and the NSA to stop the seller. I liked the action and the descriptions Clancy uses to describe what's going on. Every thing is described with great detail. I would recommend this book to adults that like violence, action and details about guns.
