Three Best-Loved Tales: The Three Bears; The Cow Went Over the Mountain; Hop, Little Kangaroo (Little Golden ...1 review
Feodor Rojankovsky

Golden Books, 1992

GREAT STORIES ABOUT BEING HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE
THE STORIES IN THIS BOOK TEACH CHILDREN THAT BEING HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY HAVE IS THE BEST THING THEY CAN DO. THE COW OVER THE MOUNTAIN TEACHES THAT THINGS MAY LOOK BETTER FAR AWAY, BUT UP CLOSE THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN WHAT IS ALREADY NEAR THEM. THIS BOOK ALSO TEACHES CHILDREN TO BE PROUD OF WHO THEY ARE AND THEIR OWN ABILITIES.

The Bear Went Over The Mountain91 reviews
William Kotzwinkle

Books on Tape, Inc., 1997

One of the funniest books I've ever read
That's all I have to say about it, except I've lent this book far and wide to a diverse audienceof friends and family, in terms of age and sense of humor. Every one thought it was a scream and just adored it.

A Bear Went Over the Mountain (Baby Bear Books)3 reviews

Bodley Head Children's Books, 2000

Great book to have fun with your kids
We have actually never "read" this book, we only "sing" it. The kids all love it and ask for it to be read as often as they find it (we have a few other books). The illustrations are fun and very friendly drawings of a little bear cub climbing on his dad. I suppose that's the other draw...kids love to climb on their dads. :-)

The Bear Went Over the Mountain - Finding America. Finding Myself.4 reviews
Carll Tucker

Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., 2008

A tour of the country, of our presidents and vice-presidents, and through Tucker's life
Carll Tucker was going through the kind of restlessness that many people feel in their 40s and 50s. During mine, I went and got an MBA from the University of Michigan. Tucker's approach was much less conventional. He decided to get a motor home and head out on the road for nine months visiting the graves of all the Presidents and Vice-Presidents. The Vice-Presidents is the especially cool ...

The Bear Went Over the Mountain: Soviet Combat Tactics in Afghanistan12 reviews

Routledge, 1998

The foremost discussion of Soviet tactics in Afghanistan
"The Bear Went Over the Mountain" is a compilation of after action reports on tactical operations in Afghanistan in the 1980s, from the Soviet perspective. The descriptions of the action and Soviet after action observations are translated from Frunze Academy (Soviet War College) documents, and accompanied by commentary from the single most knowledgable American on the Soviet army, a man who ...

The Bear Went Over The Mountain (Bunny Read's Back)4 reviews
Rosemary Wells

Scholastic Press, 1998

The Bear Went Over the Mountain
Excellent first book--both to read to your toddler and for early literacy. I use this book with my Kindergarten classes who are just beginning to decode text for themselves. Knowing the song, (not always exactly the same as the printed text), gives emerging readers confidence with a new experience. This book, along with Rosemary Wells' "Bingo", are the very first reading experience my students ...

John Bear

Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich, 1970

This book is so funny, I must give it all the stars!
My grandmother used to keep my twin sister and myself when our parents would used to go on trips or just to show us some fun. Although they were French, like I am French, they were like a lot of old people all over the world. They did not like to waste anythings or throw anythings out even if they were not working properly. My grandmother had a very, very old toaster that used to burn the ...

When Goldilocks Went to the House of the Three Bears (Big Bk)1 review

Scholastic Paperbacks, 1990

Goldilocks and the Three Bears
This book is fantastic. I used it in a kindergarten class and the students loved it. The illustrations are colorful and bright. Young children love to sing along to the story. This is a great book to use when teaching a unit on bears or a unit on fairy tales.
