A Good Lesson for Families
This book tells a positive story for all families--about how we should get out of our own selfish pursuits and concerns and think about the needs of others--very highly recommended!

nostalgic
This was one of my favorite books when I was a kid, so I was very excited to find it brand-new as a present for my young cousin. I think she will enjoy this tremendously (and it's not a hand-me-down...It's her very own! It's not every day that you can pass along a happy memory with a younger generation without also sending the wear and tear of the old items).

Love the Berenstain Bears
My children all love the Berenstain Bears, so they seem to pick up the "lessons" from the books fairly well. Haven't read one we didn't like.

The Berenstain Bears
Another enchanting story in the series of Berenstain books kids will love. The kind hearted bears in the story teach their cubs the values of family, friends and life itself. They teach to make the right decisions and always do the right thing, love your family, and be true to your friends. There are fantastic illustrations and easy to understand text throughout the book. If you read one you ...

A Good Story and Lesson for Little Ones
I have to admit this book has a soft spot in my heart,as it was the first book I bought and gave to my oldest daughter. I fell in love with the Berenstain Bear family from the first time I read this to her. The author strikes a great balance between loving the characters and having them teach a lesson in a subtle way,in each book. My daughter is now older but stil treasures this book and almost ...

Inspired my son!
My son and I have an established bed time ritual and that includes a bath, a book or two and a prayer. Before reading this lovely book, my 3 year old son would say the standard, "Now I lay me down to sleep...." prayer. But seeing the Berenstain Bears prayer for specific things, it opened his mind to include EVERYTHING.:) A good book to teach an important lesson! Keleigh Crigler ...

The Bears are the best.
My son loves the Berenstein Bears and what was a surprise to me was how much I like them. The stories are sweet and positive, always with a good family moral to them. We keep buying more and more of these.

A great book for kids about telling the truth
The Berenstain Bears and the Truth is a good example of the authors tackling a moral issue. In this case, the issue is being truthful. In the book, Brother and Sister Bear are playing with the soccer ball in the living room (which they're not supposed to do) when a wayward kick knocks Mama's favorite lamp to the floor, breaking it into several pieces. When Mama finds her lamp in pieces on the ...

A Beautiful Story
A very nice story reassuring children that God loves them even when they may feel that they don't really deserve it. A useful book for early childhood Christian education.

Great, great book to read before taking a child to the dentist for the first time!
Grab this book - this one should be in every library! It's a great hit at our house because in places, it's quite funny! Sister wakes up one morning with a loose tooth and thus, talks funny! The words are spelled as such so my little one gets quite the chuckle out of how sister says certain "s" words! Anyway, sister spends the entire day wiggling her loose tooth until it's time to take ...

A Charming Classic Story
I love this book! It is a genuine classic--one of the early Berenstain Bears books. It is cute and innocent and a very good way to introduce the idea of a new baby coming into the family for very young children. There may be more sophisticated books which would be better for older kids, but for younger children, this is perfect.

This book is helping my daughter stop thumb-sucking
I gave this book five stars because, more than any other technique we've tried, it has helped my daughter stop sucking her thumb. Now four years old, she had been sucking her thumb since she was about six months old. We've tried rewards, sticker charts, threatening loss of privileges, talking with the dentist, the works. Nothing worked. This book, in three weeks, has taken my daughter's bad habit ...

Not All Doctors Are Bad.
Most children are afraid of going to the doctor (well a lot of adults are, too, but for completely different reasons). When the word doctor is mentioned to kids images of needles, blood, bandages, and strange looking objects come to mind. Reading THE BERENSTAIN BEARS GO TO THE DOCTOR may help relieve some of the fears that children have when they know they are going to the doctor. In the story, ...

Two boys' review: Helps you talk about what causes bad dreams
We expanded our collection of Berenstain Bears books this Christmas. Our sons, ages 6 and 4, enjoy these books and find it easy to relate to the young bears in the series. I like to mix these stories into our rotation of bedtime books as the need arises. That's how I came to buy "The Berenstain Bears and the Bad Dream." This past year has been an especially hard on the boys. All of the ...

I like this book because it showed me not to spend all the money i receive for special occassions on things that i may not need but i want very badly. It showed me that i need to be very careful with money and that spending it on everything isn't always a good choice. Alyssa Seifferly

A great lesson!
Brother Bear and Sister Bear are in a big fight. They are not speaking to each other and if they are they don't say anything nice. This teachs kids how even if you and a brother or sister are fighting how to work through it. It is a great book for kids!
