The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective Teens225 reviews
Sean Covey

Fireside, 1998

Fantastic
This book is such a great book. I'm using it with a group of high school juniors and seniors as a textbook for a course. The course helps students with disabilities plan for their future. This book has made some of my students realize that they can do anything they put their minds to and/or how to seek out help.

Fancy Nancy: Splendiferous Christmas9 reviews
Jane O'connor

HarperCollins, 2009

Reading Fancy Nancy Will Make You Smarter!
I bought my granddaughter, Mary Mace, her first Fancy Nancy book when she was just 3 years old in 2007. She fell head over high heels in love with the witty, sparkly Nancy and her over-the-top ways. Since January of 2007, I have bought her every Fancy Nancy book and she devoured them, memorizing the story as her mother read them to her. When she got this book last week, she immediately ...

The Hunger Games677 reviews
Suzanne Collins

Scholastic Press, 2008

Best Book I've Read in a While
Where do I start? Well, When I first read the synopsis of this book, I immediately thought of the Japanese move Battle Royale. The idea of teenagers being put into a fight to the death was the same, so I put off reading it for a long time. Big mistake. I can't believe I deprived myself of this book! The characters were very well developed and believable. There is action, violence, and a little ...

Where the Wild Things Are454 reviews
Maurice Sendak

Harper Collins, 1988

Poetic, takes you to a different world!
Maurice Sendak's wonderful art is the first thing that hits you about this book. The story is simple - a boy does naughty things, is sent off to bed without dinner. He goes (in his mind) to a fantasy land where the wild things are... but hunger makes him return to his room - to find a hot dinner waiting for him there. Mommy did not have the heart to *really* send him to bed without dinner after ...

Simon Beecroft

DK Publishing, 2009

Awesome book! My son loves it.
My son (8) purchased this book with his allowance. He is a very sophisticated lego user, huge star wars fan and I was sure he would look at it once and then it would sit on the shelf. Boy, was I wrong! He loves this book! He goes through it over and over. Loves quoting the facts and referencing facts throughout the book. It really does have a lot of information. The pictures are well done, ...

Markus Zusak

One of THE Greatest Books that I have read
I was a little skeptical about reading a book from the point of view from death, but it was a very easy read and an astonishing story about a young girl in Germany during World War 2.

Heartwarming
This book is a beautiful story of two hearts joining. It is perfect for dog lovers, and really anyone who need a reminder that true, unconditional love is out there. I purchased this book to give to my cousin who is a retired marine, and also a dog lover. I must admit that I read it before I gave it to him. I have never been so touched. It is truly a remarkable story of friendship and ...

Can't buy these books fast enough :)
My 9yr old son has been reading and re-reading this entire series since the first book was published. Buy the hardcover -- we had bought him one of the other books in the paperback and ended up purchasing a hardcover edition a few weeks later. The paperback version just didn't survive the love (and abuse).

• Gossip is idle talk or rumor, especially about the personal or private affairs of others. While gossip forms one of the oldest and (still) the most common means of spreading and sharing facts and views, it also has a reputation for the introduction of errors and other variations into the information thus transmitted.
