Eternal Hunter17 reviews
Cynthia Eden

Brava, 2010

Definitely worth reading!
I actually got this as a free kindle book, but I can honestly say after reading it, I would have paid the money for it....definitely worth it. This is the first book I have read by Cynthia Eden. I loved the story, the characters, and the twists and turns in the story along the way. Good paranormal romance and good author....can't wait to read more of her books.

The Legends of King Arthur and His Knights6 reviews
Sir James Knowles

BiblioLife, 2008

Classic
Classic King Arthur stories, with all the smiteth-ing and destresseth damsels one might wish. A bit of a slow read due to the older writing style and inclusion of every name of every night present at every battle, but the book contained everything from Merlin's predictions to the Quest for the Holy Grail to Arthur being bore off to Avalon.

Frankenstein9 reviews

Public Domain Books, 1993

A Classic Not to Be Missed!
Those of you who have preconceived notions about this story because you've seen the Hollywood film versions, read this book. You'll be pleasantly surprised. I guarantee it. This is nothing like the film and so much better. Shelley, in her brilliance, offers the hideous creature as the one to pity here. Not Frankenstein, not the townspeople, but the creature. A sad victim of his creator's ...

Karen Hancock

Bethany House, 2003

too much religious association
i really wanted to read this book however when karen mentioned that god had published the book i stopped in my tracks. i have no qualms with christian authors but come on be realistic either write an amazing book of fiction or write an amazing book of nonfiction dealing with some facet of religion.

Silhouette Nocturne, 2007

A Good Book from a Great Series
I got this book for free from Kindle and ended up buying most of the series. I couldn't put them down. I especially liked the "Moon" books by this author. A must read of paranormal romance fans.

His Majesty's Dragon (Temeraire, Book 1)313 reviews
Naomi Novik

Del Rey, 2006

Very good and intriguing
From the beginning, you know that Laurence is a good guy with the right intentions. He is onboard as a Captain and the story begins with his ship overtaking a French one. They win and on board they discover a dragon egg locked away. Laurence takes it back to his ship and they wait until it finally hatches. The dragon chooses Laurence and he names him Temeraire. From there they go and await ...

New Moon (The Twilight Saga)2258 reviews
Stephenie Meyer

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, 2009

Vampire love is complicated...
New Moon continues the complications of a romance with a vampire, the love story of Edward and Bella, but this story is Bella's pain. Edward realizing how dangerous he and his family are to Bella's safety (fresh blood and vampires are a dangerous combination and Bella is a bit of a clutz) decides to leave Forks. If you really love someone, can you simply walk away if you think it's the best thing ...

Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith #2: Skyborn10 reviews

Del Rey, 2009

Don't Waste your time
Like others have said this is not really a novel, it is part of a short story. It could have been a great story, but there is not enough there to tell. No character development, interesting action, or anything of worth. It may be free but don't get it anyway.

Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith #3: Paragon8 reviews

LucasBooks, 2010

Excellence
Great read, better then the first two. In most of the Star Wars books the sith are just glanced over (if talked about at all), I like getting to know them better. Kind of like getting to know the stormtroopers better in the Star Wars Republic Commando books.

The World Set Free9 reviews
H. G. Wells

General Books LLC, 2010

nice book
I like the book very much. I must say it is Wells at its best, even though this one is not as famous, it certainly should be. A really very interesting book, i can only recommend it and will even read it again.

Cloud Atlas: A Novel195 reviews
David Mitchell

Random House Trade Paperbacks, 2004

Immerse yourself in these worlds
Cloud Atlas is right up there with War and Peace and Dune in creating a world (in this case, worlds) and immersing you in it (them). I read part of it in book form, and listened to much of it on my iPod. What a treat it was on several LONG plane rides. I have insisted that several friends give it a try; none had heard of it and all were astounded and grateful when they had read it. This is a ...

Dead Until Dark (Original MM Art) (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)704 reviews
Charlaine Harris

Ace Trade, 2010

Welcome to Bon Temps
This is the first in the 'Southern Vampire' series that is the basis for the HBO series TRUE BLOOD. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse, a 'livinwaitress in a small town bar in northern Louisiana. Four years before it had been publicly revealed that vampires really did exist and had been 'living; among' humans for years., When one walked into the bar where Sookie worked she was ...

The Island of Doctor Moreau82 reviews
H. G. Wells

IndoEuropeanPublishing.com, 2010

Yesterday's horror meets today's science lab
I got this on Kindle simply because it looked interesting and was $0.00. Once I began to preview the book to determine whether or not I was going to keep in on my Kindle or delete it...I couldn't put it down! The language is somewhat dated however, it adds to the story line and keeps the events back in the time they should be rather than allowing them to creep into today's timeframe. It is so ...

Brood of the Witch-Queen9 reviews
Sax Rohmer

General Books LLC, 2010

The Brooding brood
Now,I have read quite a few "weird" tales in my time, from R.W.Chambers,HPL to Merrit or even H.H.Ewers-but this story, presented in a very fine manner,is one of the best and weirdst weird tales I have ever read.It combines locality, with horror and thus takes us from a secret chamber-tomb in an old english castle,to a horrible egyptian pyramid, from London to Cairo and back-and this whole quest is ...
