The Tithe That Binds8 reviews
Rory Moore

Faithful Publishing, 2006

Telling It Like It Is!
Very informative and the truth of the scriptures out in the open! Mr. Moore places the challenge right on the table that everyone should study for themselves what the bible says, about giving. I first heard about this book via an internet radio interview that Mr. Moore was on. The interview was VERY informative but to get the information in book form is even better.

Spelling Love with an X: A Mother, a Son, and the Gene That Binds Them9 reviews
Clare Dunsford

Beacon Press, 2008

Touching and Intelligent
Clare Dunsford's book is an unusual blend of personal memoir and scientifically researched information drawn from a mother's poignant journey raising a child with Fragile X. Dunsford's book blends poetic elegance with important up to date information about her son's genetic condition, a useful read for anyone living or working with children or adults with any developmental disorder. Adult Children of Parental Alienation Syndrome: Breaking the Ties That Bind (Norton Professional Book)46 reviews
Amy J. L. Baker

W.W. Norton & Co., 2007

Excellent book/Study
As a targeted parent whose daughter has not spoken with him for the last 5 years, Amy Baker's book, "Adult Children of Parental Alienation Syndrome: Breaking the Ties that Bind" has been the most informational and encouraging book I've read on the P.A.S. topic so far. The reason is simple: This book is comprised of interviews of the KIDS (now adults) who were poisoned, not the parents who were ...

Love (Leather-Bind Gift Ed)25 reviews
L. Buscaglia

Slack, Inc., 1982

Why don't we teach this in our schools?
This book has been in my library for years. I have given copies for gifts many times, I wish I knew how many. The information in this book is so very important for everyone and written in such a way that it can be easily read and understood by everyone. Should be required reading in every high school and university. I have read other Buscaglia books and found them all to be well written and ...

The Curse of Camp Cold Lake (Goosebumps (Prebound))33 reviews
R. L. Stine

Perfection Learning Pre Bind, 2005

My first goosebump that started my reading of the series
Unlike most kids, I didn't start reading the goosebump books at a young age. I had book-a-phobia! I was twelve when I first read this book and that's when I decided to read the series. It's a surprising and unpredictable book with great charectors. I love how Sarah is a little scared of camp, and I can relate. But my favorite character is Della, the ghost. I like the "ghost world" that Sarah ...

Ira Sleeps Over19 reviews
Bernard Waber

Perfection Learning Pre Bind, 1975

Hilarious and touching
This is one of our all time favorite read-alouds! Ira's voice is perfectly written, and his teddy bear dilemma is really gripping. Features a nicely drawn superior big sister character as well.

Lies That Bind8 reviews
Thomas Domenici

Arbor Books, 2006

Lies that bind
Extremely well written and educational "page turner" written in a very comfortable style. The book is thought provoking, and interesting, parallel themes interweave throughout the story. I loved it and would consider this one of the best short contemporary novels I've every read.

The Ties That Bind8 reviews
Heather OBrien

IUniverse, 2001

Fantastic!!!!
First, it was refreshing to read a book that had more than the usual 200 pages. The 500+ pages kept me involved whole time. Heather brings her characters to life. I see a movie in the future for this book. I can even imagine the actors that could do justice to the characters. Farin is such a great character (even her name is different the most). I can't wait for the 2nd and 3rd installments.

Human Anatomy: WITH OLC Bind-in Card19 reviews
Michael McKinley, Valerie O'Loughlin

McGraw-Hill Publishing Co., 2005

excellent book for anatomy study
In this book, Not only anatomy knowledge are demonstrated, but also some related clinical examples are presented. And some useful charts help me to conlude the general view and specific view of human body. This makes my study easier. Althogh there are few parts physiological knowledge is a little bit abstract to me. But I think it expands my knowledge a lot and know the connection between the ...

Freedom From The Ties That Bind: The Secret of Self Liberation6 reviews
Guy Finley

Llewellyn Publications, 2002

A Great book by one of the worlds leading spritural writers
This book not only can change your way of thinking but can change your life! Finley is one of the most under rated spiritual writers of our time. For those which are in tune with Wayne Dyer or Deepak Chorpa, you will find that Finley rates right up at the top with these writers. The book is an "easy" read and you will learn MUCH! Finley makes us understand what life is all about and does it in a ...

Ties That Bind: Obsession Series (Volume 1)6 reviews
Amy Blankenship

CreateSpace, 2009

Best Book of the Year
I can not even go into how amazing this book is and how many emotions I succumbed to throughout the story. It's up to par with an Agatha Christie spin, but even better because of the romance spun through out. I loved every second and did not want to see it end, because I want more! All of Amy's books are breathtaking and she is always going to new heights. Never a dissappointment!!! There is ...

Exercise Physiology: Human Bioenergetics and Its Applications with PowerWeb Bind-in Card6 reviews
George A Brooks, Thomas D. Fahey, ...

McGraw-Hill Humanities/Social Sciences/Languages, 2004

An excellent compendium on work physiolgy
I received both my B.S., and M.S. in Exercise Biochemistry from Univ. of Mass, and Univ. of Colorado, Boulder, respectively. My former advisor studied under Brooks at Berkely (He received his Doctorate there). In any event the approach our department undertook towards exercise biochemistry/physiology was at the cell and molecular level. Brooks text was central to the program. What is great ...

Adult Children Who Won't Grow Up: How to Finally Cut the Cord That Binds You4 reviews
Cindy Graves, Larry V. Stockman

Prima Lifestyles, 1990

Speaking as a family counselor, buy it!
If you are a parent who has tried everything without success, you owe it to yourself to read this book. I have looked high and low for ways to deal with out of control adult adolescents, and so far, this book tops the list.

This pop up book about Charlie Chick is a favorite of my niece. She wants to read every time she visits me. I bought another copy for my newest grandson.

The Ties That Bind5 reviews
Eboni Snoe

Thorndike Press, 2003

Real people, real emotions!
The characters drew me in and reminded me of the wisdom, the cynicism, and the unconditional love of elders. There was humor and intensity, and within the pages, I imagine that everyone will find someone who feels like family. I read this book overnight, literally, and found myself both tearful and joyous at the end.

Pro DNS and BIND5 reviews
Ron Aitchison

Apress, 2005

Definitely the Best!
Ron Aitchison's Pro DNS and BIND packs a whopping 550 pages of material which is easy to read for the novice or ongoing DNS administrator, and which is very well written (I greatly enjoyed the author's style). After a short introduction in which I learnt some interesting facts about the provisioning of the root servers, the author implements a first zone describing the necessary concepts such as ...

Embracing the Ties That Bind: Connecting With Spirit5 reviews
Carole J. Obley

Xlibris Corporation, 2003

gifted
I met Carole Obley at a healing message circle, and received such healing closure from her gift of Spirit, that I held a message circle in my own home and watched my friends and family receive the same feeling. I bought this book and Carole's cd, "Reconnect", and cannot recommend highly enough to experience her book and meditations for yourself. Carole's writing and readings are so ...

All That And Then Some!: The Perfect Story\Ties That Bind\Family Affair\The Trouble Of Meddlin4 reviews
Kenya Ward, Latwaan Green, ...

Kimani Press, 2001

Exceeded My Expectations!
First of all I must admit that I am related to one of the authors of this book, but I write without bias. I am not an avid reader. In fact, I don't read at all. I find it trying to do even assigned reading for classes at school. So it was with much badgering that my sister got me to read "her" book. These First Time Writer's exceeded my expectations and managed to keep me flipping the pages. ...
