Goodnight Moon568 reviews
Margaret Wise Brown

HarperFestival, 1991

Best bedtime story ever
I got this book from friends several years back and thought then that it was cute, but now that I have a one year old son I think it is GREAT! My son absolutely adores this book and we have to read it to him every evening before he goes to bed. He also carries it around with him during the day (first thing he picks off the shelf in his room), and it seems to give him a great sense of comfort. ...

The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary140 reviews
Merriam-Webster

Merriam-Webster, 2005

Essential
Having received numerous calls from my daughter in Colorado to settle disputes in on-going Scrabble games (mother: the all-wise source), I bought her a copy of the Scrabble Dictionary. She now enjoys peaceful Scrabble games with her family and can save her calls to Mom for chatty conversations about her adventurous daily life.

The Going-To-Bed Book161 reviews
Sandra Boynton

Little Simon, 1982

BOYNTONS' BOOKS BOUNCE!
Sandra Boynton's books are the PERFECT GIFT for baby showers....they are wonderfully rhythmic to read and babies love these! I always purchase these little board books for new parents who generally get all kinds of baby clothes etc. for showers but rarely get books to start a baby libary. You just can't go wrong with any of the books by Sandra Boynton, they beg to be read aloud!

Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual: Roleplaying Game Core Rules, 4th Edition38 reviews
Wizards RPG Team

Wizards of the Coast, 2008

The Best of the 3 books
Well I am very dissappointed in the new 4E, it plays more like a video game. But the art in this book is A-1. I love the additionon Minions, they add a cool feel to the game. The Monsters are well detailed but seem to lack some luster in ability since everything has to fit into the new 4E framework.

Open the Barn Door (A Chunky Book(R))67 reviews

Random House Books for Young Readers, 1993

Favorite Book of All Time (So Far)
My 2-year-old daughter has had this book since she was 6 months old when Santa gave it to her in her stocking. She still LOVES it! The pages and flaps are a bit worn, so I'm buying another copy. It was the perfect size for her to hold when she was younger, she loved it when we made the animal sounds, and now she sits and reads it aloud. Every baby should have one!

Guess How Much I Love You284 reviews
Sam McBratney

Candlewick, 1996

Love this book!
This is a sweet little story about a little nut brown hare and a big nut brown hare. It is a story my child and I both enjoy. It is the whole book in it's entirety, not just a shortened version of the hardback as many boardbooks can be. My child loves when I substitute our names for the word 'hare'.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?311 reviews
Bill Martin Jr.

Henry Holt and Co. (BYR), 1996

Quick and Cute
I bought this when my son was only a year. I had it on the shelf for a few years without much use. He picked it up one day, and we read it together when he was 3. He wanted me to read it again. That was all he needed, he started to read it back to me.. and to his brother.. and to anyone who would listen. He even recites it when the book is far away. What an impact it has had. A good buy, but ...

Peek-A Who?95 reviews
Nina Laden

Chronicle Books, 2000

Eek-a!
My 13 month old loves this book. It actually inspired her fifth word! We were reading the book and as I was about to say "Peek-A... Moo", I heard this tiny "eek-a" from my daughter. I turned the page for Peek-a-Boo, and before I could say anything, she did it again - "eek-a". It's repetitious so I think it taught her to say the word. Now she loves to say "eek-a" before I turn the page. I ...

Dear Zoo: A Lift-the-Flap Book44 reviews

Little Simon, 2007

Everyday read!
I just bought this book for my 22 month old daughter. She LOVES it! We have read this book everyday since I gave it to her. She is also very careful with lift the flaps which could be a problem with some toddlers.

Moo Baa La La La140 reviews

Little Simon, 1982

Love this book!
Our 9 month old loved it when he was just 6 months. I think that just about says how wonderful this book is. And the ending gives a perfect cue for the little ones to voice their opinion!

Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks from A to Z (A Chunky Book(R))37 reviews
Richard Scarry

Random House Books for Young Readers, 1990

Great book for the car!
After reading many reviews on here, I bought this book wondering what I'd get. It seems that most reviews here are either very strongly liking this book or very strongly not liking it (it's a kid's book for gosh sakes!) Anyway, my son loves this book! It's the perfect size to hand him in the car or leaf through and talk about at a restaurant while waiting for food. The book is silly and fun- ...

My New Baby (New Baby Series)60 reviews

Child's Play International, 2000

My 22 month old loves this book
We're expecting our 2nd baby (a boy) in 5 weeks and I bought this book for our 22 month old daughter in an attempt to prepare her for what's going to happen. Time will tell (and another review will probably never be written =-)) but so far, she loves this book. It doesn't include any verbage so you can make up the story as you see fit and point out what you want to point out without having to ...

House Favorite
My daughter loves this book. It's definitely a pre-bedtime favorite and it is a terrific segue into telling her that since the zoo is going ni-ni that she has to as well.

Dr. Seuss's ABC: An Amazing Alphabet Book!77 reviews
Dr. Seuss

Random House Books for Young Readers, 1996

Great Book!
This book is perfect for a toddler learning their ABCs. My 2 year old loves the pictures and repeating all the words. Boardbooks are sturdy and great for toddlers....even though this is not exactly like the original, its still a great book.
