Graphic Anatomy - Atelier Bow Wow2 reviews
Atelier Bow Wow

Toto, 2007

Amazing insight to the best graphic documenters living today
It doesn't get better folks - I can spend hours per page just absorbing the dense, yet clear construction drawings of Atelier Bow Wow. A must for any architect who thinks the current drawings standards we live by are the end-all. AIA, sit down and take a lesson, because you're about to get schooled.

Bow-Wow Orders Lunch (Bow-Wow Book: All about Pattern)3 reviews
Mark Newgarden, Megan Montague Cash

Red Wagon Books, 2007

Funny funny board book!
As a mom and an early childhood educator, I highly recommend this board book! Deceptively simple, it packs a lesson on patterns and the most basic form of humor. This book cracks kids up. I laughed out loud the first time I read it! Love it, and so do the little ones.

The Dog Said Bow-Wow6 reviews
Michael Swanwick

Tachyon Publications, 2007

My introduction to Michael Swanwick
I stumbled upon this anthology after scanning a list of past Hugo winners, looking for some authors with whom I was not yet acquainted. I wish I had discovered Michael Swanwick years ago. I couldn't put this book down. My wife got sick of me saying, "You know, this guy is really good." All of the stories were engaging, but I particularly enjoyed "Slow Life." It had a satisfying interplay of ideas ...

Jack Ziegler

Vendome Press, 2006

You Had Me at Bow Wow
If you enjoy New Yorker cartoons, and know dogs, this is a fun book...some of the humor is a bit of a stretch, but gives a smile regardless.

Bow-Wow Naps by Number2 reviews
Mark Newgarden, Megan Montague Cash

Red Wagon Books, 2007

totally sweet
I love this book... it is a perfect mix of classic and modern, with enough repetition and engaging illustrations to keep little ones enthralled, and enough smart humor to hold the interest of the parent after the thousandth time it's read. The whole series of Bow-Wow books is so great. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Courtesy of Kids @ Teens Read Too
In this short board book aimed at toddlers, Bow-Wow comes across a chick. A chick who seems to be a little confused! "Honk," the chick proclaims. And Bow-Wow quickly answers "No." And he continues to say no as the chick tries out a variety of sounds. This dog isn't going anywhere until his new friend gets it right! Young children will love the bright illustrations, especially the cross ...

Pet Architecture Guide Book Vol 21 review
Atelier Bow-Wow

World Photo Press,Japan, 2002

small pleasures
This is a book about special structures in Tokyo, known as "pet architecture." They are built in marginal or neglected spaces, such as small traffic islands, awkward triangular strips, or blocks that got chopped up as the city modernized and widened the roads for vehicular traffic. What results are mini-architectures, which Atelier Bow-wow attempts to give a kind of logic through a case study ...

I absolutely LOVE this book!!!

bow wow meow meow: it's rhyming cats and dogs6 reviews
Douglas Florian

Harcourt Children's Books, 2003

Bow Wow Meow Meow
As always, Mr. Florian writes and illustrates poetry on a young child's level. His poetry is short and to the point, and his illustrations are extremely creative. "The Poodles" and "The Dalmatian" is a great example of utilizing the features of the animal in the poem format. Mr. Florian gets young children excited about poetry and shows them that poetry can be uncomplicated and fun.

If you love dogs you will love this book.

We have the responsibility to provide ourselves and our home as their new pack and den. They understand us far ...

Bow Wow! Meow! A First Book of Sounds (Little Golden Book)1 review
Melanie Bellah

Golden Books, 2002

Absolutely adored by my 1-year-old daughter
My daughter has loved this book since she was about 8 months old. At 1, she pulls it from the shelf and when we are done, turns it back to the front cover to do it again. I exaggerate all the sounds, rather than simply reading what is written, and she loves it!

The Adventures of Fender Bender: Bendable Wire Bow Wow9 reviews

Klutz, 1999

Worth the breaking
I buy my brother a toy every year for Christmas (even though we're both now well into our 20's). I bought Joe Bender a few years ago, and it amused my brother for hours! And that's saying a lot for my brother. But after several weeks, he broke it. He even tried to tape him up to save him. I decided that this year is the year to bring Joe Bender back to life for my brother. It might not be the ...

Bow Wow Yoga1 review
Gerry Greengrass

Tarcher, 2003

cute but not much substance
the book is very cute, but doesn't have much practical value. It was advertised to be instructional and so I thought it would have some tips on using yoga-like stretches to help your dog as well as give training tips. Instead it takes quite a few typical dog positions and makes up fake yoga sounding names for them. I enjoyed it for it's entertainment value, but this is not an instructional book.
