A book that must not be missed.
I read the book more than three years ago. Even though I have forgotten most of the details of Mr Adams's story, I am deeply impressed by this man's courage and ability of not showing even the slightest sign of grudge agaisnt those who have played him out. This shows that he is a very forgiving and loving guy. I admire him for the way in which he reacted to the whole incident. It's a very ...

Seabrook deserves to be remembered
In F. Scott Fitzgerald's book The Crack-Up: (Reissue), he mentions in passing the memoir of a man who had himself committed to an institution. Both he and Fitzgerald had cracked under the same pressure, or so Fitzgerald thought. The man was William Seabrook, a world-famous travel writer from the Lost Generation and the book was Asylum. In 1934, Seabrook knew he was slowly drinking himself to ...

A great read!
I thoroughly enjoyed the newest Grace Marsden murder mystery by Luisa Buehler. I particularly liked that so much of what was intimated in "The Rosary Bride" resurfaces in this story in such satisfying detail. Newcomers to the series, though, will not feel lost if they read "The Lion Tamer" first. Ms. Buehler writes in a way that makes Grace feel like an old friend; someone you'd love to invite in ...

She was a Nancy Drew and animal aficionado and spent time in both the public libraries and Brookfield Zoo as a Docent. She wrote for the Proviso West High newspaper in Hillsdale, IL, but had problems with deadlines. She's been involved with her son Christopher's Cub Scout pack and continued ...

A Fascinating Journey to Insanity
I must admit that I am drawn to musty, old books like a moth to a flame. I hapharzardly ran across a 1929 hardcover edition of Seabrook's "Magic Island" and was immediately struck by the dark and brooding illustrations as well as the marvelous old black & white photos within its yellowed leaves. A brief thumbing through the chapter listings announced its topic to me: voodoo and black magic in ...

The Rosary Bride is one of those books you don't want to end. Luisa Buehler makes her characters so real you can't help but love them or hate them! With a flair for description, Buehler takes you into the damp halls and keeps you looking over your shoulder! Well written, stylish, and engrossing, well worth the investment of time and money!

Bioinformatics to the max!
This is truly a great book. I had always wondered about biological research and the use of computers. The future of medicine and mankind will be changed drastically by new advances created by the coupling of science and technology. Bioinformatics is the wave of the future and Rashidi shows in his book that he is far ahead of his time. He has written the kind of book, a "gold standard" if ...

Good collection.
Yes this book was printed for a very good cause, missing and exploited children, but I was surprised to find some good short stories inside. While some are better than others, most are very good. MISSING is worth looking into if your a fan of mysteries, short stories or want to be exposed to new and different authors.

Great mystery!
This was my very first book that I had read from Ms. Buehler and I found her style delightful! There is not a dull moment in this story. I could not put the book down as I was determined to find out how it ended. When I did reach the end, I found I missed the wonderful character Grace Marsden ... and so now I am hooked! The Rosary Bride is on its way!! Thank you! Love your work!

An excellent primer suited to advanced students of classical languages
For experienced students of classical languages, Perry's Primer is the only way to learn Sanskrit. The language is presented in an orderly and exhaustive way. Each lesson is arranged as a series of numbered paragraphs covering different aspects of the grammar in thorough detail; at the end of the lesson is a vocabulary list and then two sets of translation exercises, one from Sanskrit to English ...

Happy Punching
I have tried punchneedle work and wasn't very happy with it. Now that I have read Ms Buehler's PUNCHNEEDLE FUN, I am going to give it another try. There were three things that stood our in PUNCHNEEDLE FUN. 1. I had purchased a kit that suggested using short lengths of floss. Ms Buehler uses lengths that would be long enough to complete a whole area - 5 - 6 feet. Compared to the 18 inches ...

great book
Reading this book has changed the way I view the world and live my life. This book has helped me change my eating habits and motivated me to exercise, and now I have lost fat and am gaining muscle, and I really can feel the difference.
