One of my favorite books as kid!
I actually read this book before the original Howliday Inn, and I still think I like it better. I must have read it at least twenty times, because it never failed to make me laugh out loud, and still does! I loved animal characters, and the ones here are so clever, and the dialogue is unbelievably witty for a kid's book. Some of the humor, like the Shakespeare references, I didn't get until I was ...

delightful
I don't read fiction very often, but I do pull this old book off the shelf and read it from time to time. I've owned this book ever since I was in the fourth grade, and I've read it too many times to count. It is a great little fiction book to read. Fun story, and so simple. A perfect "murder mystery" for young children. Warning: Spoiler ahead. The first time I read it I was sad to see ...

This is the best book ever!
Would you ever like to visit Asteroid # 6 in space? Tales of the House of Bunnicula Mind Swappers from Asteroid # 6 by James Howe is a good book to read. A dog gets it's mind switched with a squirrel from asteroid #6! Delilah the dog gets sent to asteroid #6 in space. I like this book because it has a lot of cool characters in it and it is really funny. The moral is you should always help ...

Great books for all ages
Count me among the Victor Garber fans who bought this set of CDs simply to hear Alias' Spydaddy do something others said he did well. Also count me among those who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The books themselves are well written and seem to be just fun to read. However, Mr. Garber as the narrator just brought them to life as he created a unique voice for each character. A lot of times ...

A clever romp through the mind of a zany cat and his two canine companions!
Harold thought that all of Chester's fears and concerns regarding Bunnicula and the fact that he was a vampire ended long ago, when he was placed on a liquid diet of vegetable juice. But, when Bunnicula disappears from his cage, and Chester begins locating various pieces of vegetables that have been drained of their juices, and have turned completely white, he puts on his detective hat once more, ...

Terrific Book for 5 to 7 year olds
My children (5 and 7) both loved this book. Both could read it easily. The longer Bunnicula books are much more humorous, but these books are probably easier for a 5 or 6 year old to read and comprehend.

It's a vampire bunny. What's not to love?
Can there be any book more perfect than the tale of "Bunnicula"? I remember reading this and loving this when I was young, but my rereading with my classhas made me appreciate the story so much more. Howe's writing is clever, fresh, and mature; the concept of the impressive articulation of a dog named Harold is hilarious. As well is the entire concept of a vampire bunny. This book is funny, ...

Both newcomers and old fans of the series will appreciate.
Peter has just won a contest: the prize is a school visit from his idol and the author of the FleshCrawlers series. While Peter's excited, Chester the cat is suspicious: Graves dresses in black, has a silent black crow about him at all times, and Chester knows that in each of Graves' popular books, something bad always happens to the pet... humor again blends with the supernatural in a Bunnicula ...

A word of advice, if you're headed on a camping trip, leave 'Nighty-Nightmare' at home
As much as Harold would love to put mystery, horror, and suspense behind him, and spend his days lounging about the kitchen waiting for his next chocolate treat; with Chester the neurotic, hare-brained, paranoid kitty quickly dashes those dreams, and does the unthinkable - drags Harold into his next crazy scheme. While Harold, Howie, and Chester are accompanying the Monroe family on an impromptu ...

Hold on to your seats - the Monroe pets are about to take you on a bumpy ride!
BUNNICULA - Harold the dog and Chester the cat think that they're in for a relaxing night by the fireplace, sheltered from the rain pelting the windows outside, when they are most rudely interrupted by the beloved Monroe family (Mom and Dad Monroe, and their two sons, Toby and Pete). Sure, the Monroe's are wonderful people, but everyone knows that when a dog and a cat have finally settled down ...

Dear possible reader of this book, I wasn't sure I'd be able to write a book ever again after Canine Quarterly reviewed my series, Tales from the House of Bunnicula. They said I would never win the Newbony Award. Was I depressed! And I didn't even know what a Newbony was! Luckily Delilah's read a lot of Newbony books, so she helped me write this one. It's about a poor (but very cute) orphan dachshund puppy named Howie Monroe, who lives on ...

Lots of fun, encouraging children to read
This is a great series incorporating many elements that children love: animals (specifically family pets), mystery, excitement, comedy, and a vocabulary that will challenge them, but not frustrate them. I loved them as a child, myself, and have given them to my niece now.

Tales From The House Of Bunnicula
I read Tales From The House Of Bunnicula I thought it was a good book because it gets exciting at the end. I think a lot of other kids would read it. Kids and adults would like it. I think ages 8-30 mostly would like it. I recommend reading this book as soon as possible.

This book, like other 'House of Bunnicula' books, keeps kids reading with an entertaining story. My son reads it over and over and laughs every time. He loves reading them out loud to us.

Vampire Rabbit? Don't Miss These!
The first book grabs the reader and the sequels are great too. Here's what happens in Bunnicula: Things were never the same after that dark and stormy night when the family arrived home from the movies with a cuddly little bunny they'd found wrapped in a blanket and left on a seat in the theater. Since it was a Dracula movies showing, they decided to name the bunny, Bunnicula. It was Chester, ...
