We purchased this book in advance of our recent trip to Spain; the photos alone are worth the price. The info is general and provides a good baseline for further discussion/exploration.

Great for Teaching Reading Skills
I bought this to use in my 6th grade reading classroom. It is excellent to use to teach reading skills such as main idea, author's purpose, or summarizing. I put it in a center and students have 10 minutes to use the book for an assignment. Since it is at a lower reading level, students have success in building skills to use in higher level texts.

A Good Book for its Target Audience
Perhaps the price should have warned me. This is a good introduction to roller coasters but it is written for children. Having read it I will donate it to a school library. So to any coaster enthusiasts - is there a school near you that would benefit from your generousity? Then by all means buy it, read it, donate it.
