The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage

A bit chavinistic but...
The book is not a material I would recommend a hard core feminist to read, but the bitter reality is that, everything in this book is true. It feels like your great grand ma is telling you how to have a solid marriage!

Highly Recommended!
My instructor suggested I get All-in-One because it will serve me through my rotations (Med-Surg, Peds, OB and Psych.) I love this book! It is so much better than the one we were required to buy. It is the only care plan book I've seen that gives measurable outcomes, which are so helpful in practice, not just in writing the plans. The rationales are detailed and easy to understand, and I ...

Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care
If you're going to be in practice, you had better own this book. Every general practice physician I know owns this book, and every mid-level provider ought to have one, as well. Concise, easy to read/understand, discusses complaints by body region, includes IDC-9 codes.

Thank You!
Dr. Schlessinger's advice is right on. If you are looking for a GREAT relationship - she's got a valuable point of view. There is currently a war between men and women in our culture that inevitably threatens our relationships if we do not bring awareness to the fact that it exists and are not mindful of our unconscious participation in it. Her point is very direct: on the ...

Where Was This Book When I Was Growing Up?
The Care & Keeping of You: The Body Book for Girls Where was this book when I was growing up? What a great book for girls. As a mother of three girls and a grandmother of four girls, I give thumbs up to The Care & Keeping of You. I began reading this book with my nine-year-old granddaughter, Autumn. She enjoyed learning about how to brush her hair, and her teeth. She loved the ...

Yes, it's not perfect - but it's a pretty good Bond pastiche!
To celebrate the centenary of Ian Fleming's birth, the Fleming estate c ommissioned a new James Bond novel, tapping noted British historical fiction author Sebastian Faulks to wield the pen. Fleming's literary legacy, secret agent 007, is recognized all over the world through books, movies and tie-ins, and Faulks joins a select group of authors who have added new chapters to that legacy: Kingsley ...

Great Resource for Teachers and Students Alike
I notice that a few reviewers have mentioned they found exercises in the book too easy and it's true that the book is geared toward those who may be recovering from injury and/or are new to yoga. That said, as a yoga instructor and long-time practitioner I've found this book to be a wonderful resource. In fact, some of the poses in the book have become staples in my lesson plans (and in my own ...

Improving Communications in the Health Care encounter
Most patients feel rushed and not heard in their encounters with health care providers. This clearly written "how to" book provides principles and examples of conversation that can improve the quality of communication around life style change between provider and patient. Listening rather than telling, and guiding rather than directing or preaching are difficult skills for health providers. ...

Should be REQUIRED reading in Congress and ALL schools
This is a well-researched, respectful, compassionate book that reveals the TRUE American character: one of remarkable charity at home and abroad, with money, time, and talents. My hat is off to Brooks for gathering the difficult to locate information and carefully documenting the facts about American culture and spirit. We are a giving people. THIS is exactly the trait we must not lose--not from ...
Pharmacology for Nursing Care

This book got me through pharmacology
Pharm was definitely my hardest subject during nursing school. I had a hard time keeping all the drug classes straight, but this incredible textbook gave me the exact tools I needed to understand the drugs. With Lehne's sense of humor (in chapter 1 she writes a note to the "chemophobes" - those of us who are scared of chemistry class!) makes this text book interesting and easy to read.

As Good As Everyone Else Says It Is
This book is a bargain at the price. Best book on procedures I have seen. Has informed consent and post-procedure care forms for almost every procedure as well. The one drawback is the paper is very flimsy and likely will eventually tear because you will use this book a LOT. I would have paid more for heavier paper stock.

A Must Have
I ran across this text in the OR nurse's lounge and found it highly fascinating. The other nurses recommended it to me, so I hopped on Amazon and found one. The prices have come down tremendously since last year. This text is not full of PhD jargon. It's well-written, easy to understand for someone with just an LPN background. I really like it.
