The Claims of Christ - by Barry L. Davis
Well, I finally finished this book. I spend so much time on the internet I don't have time to even read the newspaper. The best part of this book is the way Mr. Davis uses everyday life and history and compares it to the teachings and actions of Jesus Christ. Napoleon compares himself and other conquerors to Jesus by showing how Jesus built His "empire" on love while the violence of the other ...

Magical
I was eight years old. I read the paperback edition of this book every night, cover to cover. The story of the effervescent Plop and the conquering of his fear of the dark is as enduring now as it was when it was first published over 30 years ago. This version is abridged and illustrated from the one that saw me safely to dreamland as a child. No matter. The spirit is preserved and the ...

Patent Powerhouse!
I'm a newly minted patent associate. I've seen other massive tomes around on drafting basics. I'm aware that the bosses rarely have time to initiate a tutorial for the associates. So, what's the solution? I just happened to read an ABA pitch for Slusky's book and picked it up. What a book it is! It's not easy to take complex subject matter and distill it down into its key components while ...

If you want to make less mistakes, save time and money, it's best to start with this book so you can get the correct service, venue, and evidence organized to file and win. A disclaimer: I know the Rev. Gary Cox, PhD, from a couple of seminars on Christian Theology and Church History that he taught locally, and I happen to believe that he is a great human being. So, I may be biased, but... I think his book is a must-read--especially for members of main-line protestant churches who are feeling a little queasy about what's being passed off as "Christianity" in the ...

Never get over the Passion
"Get Over Yourself" is not one of those self-help books that really should have been a single paragraph. (You know the type: example after example tells you the same story until you feel that perhaps the author mistrusts your ability to understand the point.) This book is radically different from that genre. Every chapter delivers more, and newer, and different. The book represents a world ...

More God in a Box Information
This book is a comprehensive defense of the concept of faith taught by the Word of Faith movement and how it complements rather than compromises the sovereignty of God. Refutations are made against the biased arguments of popular evangelical heresy hunters. Some of the doctrines analyzed are: Sovereignty - Is everything ultimately caused (and willed) by God or can man's destiny be different ...

Unavoidable critique of Christian Zionism
Colin Chapman has taken on the unpleasant task of confronting a modern theological innovation that has captured the imagination of the evangelical church - dispensationalism.
