Good book with the necessities
I like this book because it have very helpful images. Sometimes the images are a little cluttered but overall, there are enough images, and the structures are represented multiple times from different sagital, coronal, and horizontal cuts that it makes learning the anatomy of the brain pretty straight forward. I used a computer 3D program to learn from at first, and it was not nearly as ...

LOVE IT
This is a fantastic resource. Easy to read, breaks behaviors down into key areas. This is by far the most useful book I have read, AND I have recommended it to my doctor and therapist for easy read resource and great ideas for the individual. Don't need to read the whole book if you don't need to (but doesn't mean I don't suggest you do); great lay out for engaging the reader! Highly recommend it.

Very Clear
This review book is very clear and easy to study from. I haven't taken the boards yet but I used this book to study from instead of the recommended text book for biochem in med school. It worked well for me and it's less expensive than a text book, plus I know I'll use it again next year when I'm studying for the boards.

Very good use of $20... if you have time to color
I found the book very useful while taking the neurology course for 1st year med students. The only gripe (which isn't a real gripe about the book) is that coloring takes a long time. But the slides I did color, I remembered quite easily. The book is very comprehensive and contains a lot of information in the form of text explaining the slides you color. If you are willing to spend the time ...

Resource for Counseling Psychology Students
This is a great book for helping beginning psychotherapists (and students in training). I use it to teach Master's level students about psychotherapy skills. It has loads of clinical information, how to interview clients, information about various disorders and treatments, and is a great resource for writing psychological reports. I highly recommend this book for training therapists (not bad ...

Solid book
I bought this for a class, and in fact, I finished reading the entire book. I would say it is quite clear in relating possibly difficult subjects, and the order is logical. The topics I felt it was most successful in are: synaptic plasticity and sensory systems. For cognitive neuroscience, this particular book was not as detailed as the other book by the same author, which deals specifically with ...
