Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: A Star Wars Roleplaying Game Supplement (Star Wars Roleplaying Game)
1 review
Wizards RPG Team
Wizards of the Coast

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
The Star Wars RPG team is really on a roll here. Another great book though it's far more focused than recent supplements. This is the perfect book if you're running a campaign with a smuggler, pirate, crime lord, bounty hunter, or any type of unsavory character we've seen in the Star Wars Universe. That having been said there's almost nothing for Jedi here (they receive only one talent) so if ...

A Fantastic New Edition
I enjoyed reading the books for the 3rd edition of Dungeons & Dragons, but I never felt the need to play a game with the 3rd edition of Dungeons & Dragons. Time past, and I heard mutterings of a 4th edition, and I thought to myself, "Why so soon?" Wasn't their 3rd edition good enough? As it turns out, their 3rd edition wasn't good enough, because where that edition had me reading the core ...

Keep Your Friends Close, But Your Enemies Closer. Capisce?
This is another great piece of writng by DeMille. At first I found myself a little disappointed because the story line seemed to drag with the rich history of the Gold Coast described in detail. But the story got much better and DeMille's words flowed easily through my mind and created a wonderful story. This story was based in the rich Gold Coast of Long Island, but the heart of the story was ...

Not his best product but worth the read
R.A. Salvatore's the Pirate King describes political intrigue, power struggles between ruling factions and revolution of oppressed in a fantasy setting. The famed protagonist of this second series in the book, Drizzt Do'Urden, appears with his friends Regis and Bruenor at events that lead to escalations between opposing factions. One of them is the confrontation of the Orc King Obould ...

The Gate House
Mr. DeMIlle has the ability to keep your interest from the very first page and not want to put the book away until you have unfortunately finished another great book. His characters are filled with life and make you identify with their thoughts and feelings. His sarcasm may be lost on some readers but I personally enjoy the "snarky" remarks and unspoken thoughts of his main characters. My ...

Excellent!
Is it perfect? No, but what ever is? You can't please everyone. But this opened up a lot of new options for each of the martial classes. What I love about it is the amount of flavor it added, not only do you get two new builds for each class (minus the Ranger) but you get a whole host of new powers. Well done!
The Weather of the Pacific Northwest

Delightful and Informative
As a Northwest transplant, I've always wondered why the storms out here are so very different from those in the midwest. Mass explains all of this in an accessible, easy to understand way. The illustrations are gorgeous, and the full-color graphics help the reader under the mechanics and movement of weather. I love the discussion of the historical floods (including the whopper in December 2006 ...

Every DM must have! But it won't help PCs.
If you are playing a character in DnD who looks to the dragon as a sorce of inspiration and power, you may be tempted to get this book. Don't. There is no useful information in here for PC characters. No feats. No powers. No paragon paths, or epic destinies. In other words, there is quite literally nothing that your character would find useful in this book. On the other hand, if you are a DM ...

Huge wonderful gear book blows the lid off 4e
Think Arms & Equipment Guide melded with the Magic Item Compendium. Light on art, but thick on volume. Tons of great new items, both great useful weapons and alchemical stuff that you can buy right from first level, and a huge amount of magical stuff that feels awesome and looks sweet (honestly, it feels like forever since I've really wanted a magic item just from how cool the art looks!). ...
Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Master's Screen

The best so far
This is by far the best DM screen I have every seen. It breaks down all those little things that can happen during gaming and provides you with a basic description of what it does and where you can find it in the main rule books. The artwork isn't too bad either. If you game master, then you should get this screen for fourth edition!

What a great guide to hard to find gems!
Although I am a serious home cook I tend to eat out a lot due to my busy travel schedule. I am always looking for the out-of-the-way places that only the locals know about. This book is my inside guide to those hidden treasures. First I checked out the cities that I know best and was amazed at how many of the small, jewel-like restaurants that I have visited in the past were included in this ...

THIS IS A GREAT BOOK
I have not read any Koontz for a while. This one caught my eye so I decided to order it. I have the hard copy. I couldn't put this book down. I loved the characters, the plot, the story and most of all the hero. From cover to cover i could not put this book down. By far one one of the best books in my collection!

Reacher follows in the literary Rambo's footsteps
Fans of David Morrell, Richard Stark (Donald Westlake), and F. Paul Wilson's brawny thrillers will love Lee Child's laconic loner hero. Featured in ten previous novels, Jack Reacher is a shiftless vagabond who owns nothing and lives nowhere and everywhere. A former military policeman and Army special investigator, he is also a knight-errant of sorts, using his experience, large body, and ...

D&D 4.0 is fun
As someone who was very skeptical about the 4th edition I can say confidently that it is better than 3.5 edition. It turns out, it is incredibly fun to play and the way everything functions is actually very fluid. For one, I can make a character in roughly 10 minutes(if I don't worry about creating a backstory). One thing that is the cause of this drastic reduction in time over the other ...

Stunning conclusion to the trilogy!
Shadowrealm by Paul S. Kemp is the third, and final, novel in the Twilight War Trilogy. The first two books are; Shadowbred (The Twilight War, Book 1) and Shadowstorm (Forgotten Realms: The Twilight War, Book 2). If you have read the first two novels in this trilogy I also suggest that you read the short story "Continuum" by Mr. Kemp that is in the Realms Of War (Forgotten Realms) Anthology. ...

How could anyone NOT rate this book a 5? I am so surprised. Cussler isn't about literary works -- this book with Jack DuBraul is a thriller that is action packed! It never stops...glad its not my life! But the story is a page-turner...can't wait to find out what happens next. Wish all the high tech stuff was available! This was my first Cussler and I will continue to read him as well as Jack ...

Fogotten Realms Player's Handbook
I think that overall this is a GREAT product. It has a lot of very good information. I am not familiar at all with the old 3.5 FR setting, so there was no adjustment period to me. I bought this to run my first game in years, so I am pretty excited and am glad this information covered so much for me!!!
