Beautiful coloring book
I have given this coloring book to my girls two years in a row. This is an excellent alternative to Disney characters and other more commonly found coloring pages. The creatures in this book are beautiful and contain enough detail to challenge and inspire creativity in an older child, while the quality of the paper can stand the abuse of a toddler. Highly recommend.

These are the most precious drawings.
I have a large collection of these dover adult coloring books. I must das these illustrations are darling. Being an adult I still can enjoy some fantasy in my life. I recommend these for relaxation. I find that Primsacolor colored pencils work the best for shading and making wonderful creative creations. Highly recommend these books. Amazon had a HUGE collection and the 4 for 3 deal cannot ...

Awesome book for young artists!
I purchased this book for my 7-year-old last year--a girl who loves art and math equally well. It has been 8 months and she STILL pulls out this book every week or so to work on a picture...and the results are really beautiful. It's detailed enough that she feels accomplished with her work and clean enough that it's not overwhelming. I highly recommend it!

not AMAZING, but matched expectations
Simply put, if you want a difficult/advanced/challenging coloring book... don't order this one. You can tell from the cover what the designs are like. They are simple, repetitive patterns. They did match my expectations and I got what I wanted. So FIVE STARS because the product met my expectations, but a WARNING to those out there who are looking for something MORE CHALLENGING.

This is a great book to use in middle and some high school classes. It shows the artwork, style and abilities of PreColumbian artist. Actual figures and glyphs from various archaeologial sites and museum codex pages give history, geography and anthropology students a real sense of PreColumbian life styles, interest, history and religions.

Wonderful book! I like the summaries of the artist, the orginal pictures for examples, and the amount of detail for a beginner to moderate colorer is not too much.
