Great Legal Textbook
I had the opportunity to use this textbook in my trademark class during the spring semester, with one of the authors, Professor Janis, teaching it. As legal books go, this is one of the better books I have read. It is clear, articulate, and offers some well placed humor from time to time. Specifically, the cases are well edited, mistakes are almost non existant, and the flow of the book is ...

Breakthrough Thinking for higher IQ managers
The concepts presented in the book are deceptively easy to gloss over. I do not blame the reviewers at this site who did not 'get it'. This is not something one can expect to read and understand over a coast-to-coast flight like most of the popular business books one tends to find at the airport book stores. It is heavily intellectual content and for those who do 'get it', the payoffs can ...

Couldn't put it down!
Ginsburg's most recent, this book is a gripping tale of power, sex, corporate greed, and Abercrombie & Fitch, equal to Grisham's finest. You'll be shocked by harrowing tales of abandonment, abuse, and Playboy bunnies gone horribly right! With each page comes a daring new development as sources and origins are revealed as the primary motivating factors of an increasingly materialistic society. ...

A fresh, clear, practical, and compelling approach to understanding the substance of Corporate Strategy
Every business student studies Corporate Strategy at one point or another. There are a huge number of books, articles, and prayers associated with this subject. Some classes become so complex that students sink from the weight of detail. Other classes are so superficial that the student walks away with what amounts to one of those tiny Swiss Army Knives with a blade, scissors, nail file, ...

Excellent Book. Randy hits it dead on!!
I thought this would be another one of those old sales techniques made to work today, but that's not what this book is. The author has it dead right and explains how to get your competition fired without saying anything bad about them (thus the tiltle) in an awesome way. If you are in sales and your prospect has a current vendor or supplier this stuff really works. Try it and your business ...

Outstanding overview of international business
I just finished reading the new 9th edition of this book and it is excellent, containing many improvements on what was already an outstanding book for introducing international business issues to students and businesspeople. The strengths of this book include its extensive coverage of the various environments of international business, such as the cultural, political, legal, financial, ...

Great aggregration of Porter's work
'Porter On Competition' is 'lighter' to read than his 'Trilogy', but it nicely consists the core ideas of his work & how it evolved during the past decades. It provides reader a nice overview about how competitive strategy & competitive advantage are applicable to a wide range of areas: from corporation, industry & nation, to social issues such as health care & environment.

Best Book on Japanese Politics in Years
This is the best book on Japanese politics in years. For years, we Japan experts have known that the opposition parties in Japan had a problem, but the diagnosis was always based more on unique factors of each party or the strength of the ruling LDP. Now Scheiner comes along and provides a systematic and creative answer to why opposition parties never seem to be able to take power in Japan. His ...

Offering a complete analysis of antitrust (or competition policy) issues, this study is enhanced by frequent references to antitrust cases and a few fully developed case studies. Although it can be used as an economics textbook in graduate or advanced undergraduate courses, the book is equally accessible to lawyers, practitioners, and readers interested in antitrust issues, but unfamiliar with modern economics. Technical explanations of ...

How to reform healthcare without breaking the bank
The health care debate has reached a new crescendo in America as of late. It is due to the rapid escalating costs of health care while the quality of health care has had some noticeable decline in some areas. Currently, health care insurance is very expensive if you have to purchase it without an employer or some sort of government assistance: Health care premiums have slowly moved beyond the ...

Gender & Competition: How Men and Women Work and Play Differently
For men coaching women (which is happening frequently these days), this is a must read. After watching a disastrous high school male coaching flop that led to humiliation for most of the girls on the team last year, (and having been a former high school standout athlete coached by a woman), the author hits every legitimate point in the difference of the sexes with regard to competitive sports. ...

Great book for anyone wanting to learn about the industry
This book was suggested by the CEO of my company for every new MBA recruits. I found this book really helpful in learning a lot about the industry. The book is divided into two parts.
