Drawn to conclude: Great book
Written for the average 4th to 8th grader, this book offers 35 worksheets for students to learn test practice and quickly draw conclusions and inferences. Page illustrations are minimal, appropriate for students up through high school. The last few worksheets are for testing a student's written skills of mastery of the topic at hand. I would have liked to see a broader spectrum of reading ...

Good resource for sandwich generation!
As someone who has aging parents I am starting to think about the time when they will need my assistance in downsizing. Having no idea where to begin I was very pleased to find this book. There were so many helpful tips to moving things that might seem useless to me in caring and sensitive ways. I really liked the personal stories that were scattered through out the book. I will also use the ...

The Standard for books concerning the tithing issue
This is easily the best book on the topic of tithing out there. It is professionally done and well-written. Not only will the reader learn truths about tithing that are not revealed in church, there is a great deal of quality teaching concerning priesthoods and the new covenant. The only questions I might have are that the author believes that in the old covenant there were three distinct ...

Great introduction to Howells
William Dean Howells is one of those writers who everyone respects and recognizes as an important figure in American literature yet very few people read. This collection offers an excellent introduction. Four of Howells's greatest works are here. "A Foregone Conclusion" and "Indian Summer" are charming romances based in Italy. With the possible exception of James, there is no other male writer ...

A must read for Alamo buffs
Alamo Traces: New Evidence and New Conclusions is an excellent read that looks for the truth about the siege and fall of the Alamo, and on a bigger scale, the Texas Revolution. Author Thomas Ricks Lindley takes on many of the myths and legends that have become accepted as fact over the years. Did Sam Houston really want to blow up the Alamo? How many Mexican casualties were there? Did Colonel ...

Best R.L. Stine book so far!
I have been a R.L. Stine fan since '95 and I have to say that this was his best book ever. I love the new format he uses to introduce each character and how it kept me guessing the whole time. I would definetly recommend Fear Hall to anyone who is looking for a suspenseful, murder mystery with plenty of twists.

An excellent primer for anyone interested in the subject
This book is part of an excellent 5 book series dealing with democratization. In this particular tome, different perspectives are used to explain the transition from authoritarianism to democracy. The importance of international actors, bureaucracies, entrepreneurs, the military, and economic conditions are examined to explain how transitions take place. Although some perspectives are ...
