The Cramer You Never Knew
This is a great book. I've watched Jim Cramer on television, but never knew the whole story. From his days working as a reporter, to his time at Harvard Law School, on to Goldman Sachs, and eventually his own hedge fund. This is an up close and personal look at one of America's favorite money men. I highly recommend this book.

Maguire has done it again
His wonderful novels have yet to disappoint. He is so descriptive and clear, I find myself drawn into his worlds completely. I have read 4 or 5 of his novels now and every time I have thoroughly enjoyed his twisted take on a familiar back story. Keep 'em coming!

Blame all around
Well written, informative and authoritative view of the real estate fiasco. There is enough blame to go around from the buyer all the way to the top. Every one in the chain had a hand in the mess. And we'll all have to pay for it!.

I actually liked it...
I lived the same life in my early twenties, but instead of rappers, my life revolved around rock stars & Dj's, so I definitely was able to relate. It's just sad that this book got so many negative reviews commenting on how she's just "exploiting the black community" and "making money off of exposing people" and "blah blah blah". I'd bet that over half of these negative reviews are given by other ...

Awesome book!
This book is just perfect. It basically what I was expecting, tons of photos from one of the best shows I have attended ever! It really takes you back to that night when you saw the concert live. Each photo has the date and city where the photo was taken. It's a great book for anybody that went to the concert or is a Madonna fan.

Universally Read
You know what the funny thing is about this book? I doubt that theres very many world leaders or intellectuals who havent either read this book or had a summary of it presented to them. You can disbelieve the facts presented or disbelieve the conclusions but there is a reason this book is so widely looked at. The reason is the things he says are both shocking and believable. This is no ...

I've long since lost the religious fervor that led me to read Augustine's Confessions for the first time some 40 years ago. But I've never tired of re-reading it, which I do every five years or so. For in addition to being an exquisitely written prayer, it's also a penetrating analysis of the human psyche. In reading the Confessions, one is invited to reflect on what it means to be a human ...

Great read :)
I've heard a lot about the book and decided to pick it up since I heard they were making a movie. If you're into chick lit, I found it very amusing, funny, and easy to read. The book came in quickly and was in perfect condition.

you've got to read this
This is a great book for the lover of politics. It makes you realize just how evil the Republicans truly can be (I'm an independent). He tells tales of dirty politics and even their own infighting. Fascinating reading.

Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict
I found this to be a fun, light read. It made me LOL, at work no less, as I was reading certain parts. I really liked how the author refers back to Austen novels, quotes and characters throughout the story. At one point, while riding in the horse & buggy to church with her parents, Courtney...a.k.a... Jane, looks out and sees Pemberley in the distance. All in all, this was a very ...

This book is so interesting! My fave book.
If you can suspend reality for a minute you will find that this book is AMAZING. Not only historical in nature (think old San Francisco), it is also, above all else, a love story. I LOVE this book, and you will too. You'll have to open your mind a little, but if you can do that you will find that this book stays with you long after you've finished reading it. I wish someone would make it into a ...

Kick Start Your Brain
If you are looking for a step by step buy a house, rehab it, and get rich, please find another book. If you are looking for a dull textbook type presentation you should also pass. If you are looking for clear explanations of concepts and illustrated with some small case studies to kick start your brain, then this might be just the thing to get you from dreaming to doing. Superb. Left me breathless
I too, am going to have to say that many recent reviewers have said what I would say if I could express myself so eloquently. This is a powerful and beautifully written book. I had heard about it and was curious, but had no idea the impact it would have on me. As a white person I've often wondered why this degree of rage hasn't been touched on before; I've always thought I would have been ...

Saint Augustine of Hippo

Worthwhile even for agnostics
Before reading any St. Augustine, I had formed an image of him as an intolerant puritan, almost Taliban-esque. As an agnostic, I did not at all expect to find him a sympathetic figure. The "Confessions," however, reveal a warmly human, hugely intelligent man, relating his own open-minded spiritual journey, which included way-stops at Manicheeism and neo-Platonism. Augustine formulated his ...

You will love it...
I found Confessions of a Contractor to be a funny and sensitive book. I read it over a few days and found I did not want to put it down. I couldn't wait to see what kind of trouble Henry got himself into next... and how he got out of it. I laughed out loud many times and even cried at one point. The author clearly has a wonderful sense of humor! It is on my gift list for all my friends who ...
Confessions of St. Augustine, The: Modern English Version
Augustine
Revell
, 2008
Confessions is one of the most moving diaries ever recorded of a man's journey to the fountain of God's grace. Writing as a sinner, not a saint, Augustine shares his innermost thoughts and conversion experiences, and wrestles with the spiritual questions that have stirred the hearts of the thoughtful since time began. Starting with his childhood in Numidia, through his youth and early adulthood in Carthage, Rome, and Milan, readers will see ...
