BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS! INTERESTING READ!
This book reads just like a conversation and the photography is out of this world! I wish they would make some of the photos into poster form, they are so lovely. Of course, there are also the wierd looking animals and the ugly ones. All are so interesting. While you would think that it would be like reading a text-book, it is NOT! It's highly entertaining and immensely informative. I use ...

Quite Simply Amazing
Though I am an author in this book, I have some ideas: This book is large like the world, round like the moon, and infinite like space. Or, you know, some cool description that would fit here. Hilarious and with very awesome illustrations. That is all. Ever vigilent, ever true.

Great for bed time reading.
This book is terrific for beginners. It stars Herry, a blue muppet. Herry is looking for something in his toy chest. Each page shows Herry pulling something out of the chest. It begins with the letter A, as Herry pulls out an accordion, and continues until every letter of the alphabet has been shown. Every page has a colorful picture that small children will enjoy as you read to them. Simple ...

Brilliant and accurate micro-historical study
Order and Exclusion is a brilliant and accurate micro-historical study on the handling by Cluny of 11th century ideas opposing christianity. At that time Cluny was the most powerfull institute in Europe and the ideas of Peter the Venerable, wich are so accurately described in Order and Exclusion, would have major impact on the development of Europe. The ideas form the basis of every major ...

Down to Earth
This collection of verse blends traditional poesy with modern freestyle. The poems are simple, easy to grasp yet rich in multiple meaning. Readers will recognise familiar poetic themes such as love and hope, although occasionally there is the odd abstract thought such as the 'The Gift' (p30), which examines Christmas through the perspective of a rubber ball. The lyrical compositions are a ...

Aptly Titled
Rarely do you find a book that is EXACTLY what you're looking for and EXACTLY what it claims to be. This is a superb book for intermediate Russian students who want to focus their study on Politics and International Relations. I treasure this book.

Persuasion Game
As a former student of Heydt-Stevenson's I was most pleasantly surprised to find this - - it was a rather long time in preparation. Anyone, whether a student or a casual reader of Austen's work (say, are there any of those around?), should find this eminently readable book a delight. Heydt-Stevenson's close readings offer observations that are both comical and wry, two qualities not always ...

Although i haven't bought this book, i can only imagine it's great because Professor Symes is a fantastic teacher. Waking up at 8:00 is a little bit easier two days a week due to her passion and enthusiasm for teaching, as well as her ability to hold an audience with her humor and insight into the lives and cultures of the ancient world. Wow, reading the previous sentences this seems to already ...

Fantastic! Wow! And How!
I purchased this wonderful book at the recommendation of my children's lit instructor to add to the elementary classroom library I will have in a year and a half. The illustrations are great and the text presents the topic in a very entertaining way. I am going to make a point of purchasing the other books in this series. The summary indicates this book is for 4-8 year olds. I think it ...

A wonderful collection in its own right
Conjunctions has for a long time been a source of truly new and groundbreaking writing in American Literature. The current issue not only continues this trend, but even exceeds the high water mark set by earlier editions of the journal, taking the time, as it does, to focus only on prose (saving the poetry, I understand, for the next issue). Collected in one place we have stories by some of ...

The BEST children's book ever written
Call me crazy, but Big Bird Brings Spring to Sesame Street is perhaps the best children's book I have ever read. It captures the very essence of the seasons and of the heart. Anyone who reads this book will be touched by its sincerity and blessed by it's message. Anyone who has not read this book should buy it and read it immediately!

this book is a real find! there are some truly magnificent and stylistically ground-breaking samples of early 20th century graphic design here. most of the selections represent the pinnacle of the german and russian avante-garde designers of the 1920's and 30's, including alexandr rodchenko, el lissitsky, lazlo-moholy nagy and many others. My 2 year olds favorite
My 2 year old daughter can't get enough of this book! We found it at the library & checked it out 5 times. Finally, I realized it was time to get our own copy. Even though it is out of print, I managed to find a copy from one of the marketplace sellers at Amazon. I highly reccommend this book to any one with toddlers or sesame street fans. It's a great book!!!!
