Need new, easy ideas in the kitchen? Try this book!
Maggie Oster's book has helped me in making the most tasty and beautiful herbal vinegars ever. I was stuck in the boring "chive blossom vinegar" or "Tarragon Vinegar" with no variations. After I followed a couple of Maggie's recipes, I livened up my meals immensely! Next, I'm going to try her "Dill-Burnet Cream Dressing" for my salad. It has only 5 ingredients, and they are very easy to find! ...

A great source for home water system design and storage.
This book covers nearly every situation one may encounter in water procurement, perhaps the only subject not covered is hauling water to a completely dry site. The focus of this book is necessarily on shallow wells, as deep wells require professional drilling, never the less the author covers well pumps, casing, storage devices and filtration systems with enough technical detail to meet most ...

A beautiful resource for the capable cook.
This book offers a wealth of preserve recipes for anyone who is familiar with the kitchen. While the author uses weights as a measure, rather than liquid volume, capable cooks will recognize volume as an unreliable gauge. If you're willing to spend a little time, and produce some unique and hard to find recipes, you're bound to enjoy this resource. Clear, intelligent instruction is coupled with ...

Good jumping board, written from a different POV
The market is saturated with green these days, so readers may have a hard time figuring out which books to read. I like this book for providing a broad foundation of information. Using the classic "Everything" format (and a title that's more palatable than Dummies or Complete Idiot's), the author shows that greening up your life doesn't have to be a radical endeavor. There are lots of Internet ...

Adequate and interesting
I think the book is well done. It includes more fancy type recipes, than I expected, which was refreshing; but I pretty much stick to the basics because I share what I make with others, and some aren't as willing to try different flavors in their jams. I also expected to find at least three home-made cheese recipes, given the description of this product prior to my ordering it.
