Natural Beauty Basics
I liked this book since the ingredients are obtainable and the recipes are fairly simplistic. The recipes in another book I read were so complicated that I wasn't even interested to try them but not so with this book - these are possible to do without alot of time invested. I also like the explanation of the attributes for the ingredients so if you want to substitute, you can look at the list ...

I'm impressed!
Wow! This book really stands out with its scientific references. How often do you find complete references including even the page numbers of the scientific journal, in a popular book? I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though cosmetics are not really my thing (I'm too lazy or "busy" to bother). Now I actually find myself using face creams and sunscreens. I used to think all cosmetic products ...

a wonderful guide for physicians learning aesthetic procedures
I have purchased 4 of the books in this series and I am delighted with the content, presentation and supplied DVDs. If a practitioner wants to approach a new skill/procedure in his/her office, they will want hands-on symposiums, didactic lectures, and a reference textbook. This book and the ones on chemical peels, Botox, and laser txs are just what the doc oredered. You will not be disappointed.

Recipes for Color Cosmetics
This is another excellent book from Karin Bombelli. I have all of her publications and this is by far the most comprehensive. I was a bit dismayed that many of the recipes were the same except for the coloration but for a novice cosmetic formulator or a home craftsperson, this would be excellent. I am an award winning cosmetic formulator, and I teach others to make natural cosmetics and ...

Learn to Be a Cosmetic Surgeon the Easy Way -
I first came across this book while browsing in a book store, and decided that I had to own it. Since much of my photography centers around people and portraits, this book really concentrates on the many things that you can do to to enhance (or, for some fun do the opposite to) these photos. The explanations are clear and the illustrations make the steps easy to follow. I definitely recommend ...

Thank you, Carruthers!
I am a board certified family doc times 25 years, Aesthetics in my office is becoming a very fun and rewarding adventure, but one that must be diligently studied, learned and practiced. This fabulous book has given me the confidence that I need to feel that I will be very competent with this seemingly easy-but-really-challenging technique that can offer so much benefit to patients - but only if ...

Required reading for the cosmetic chemist!
This book should be required reading for anyone involved in the scientific side of the cosmetics industry. I would've loved to have had this book when I first started out, and it certainly helped to fill in the gaps that I didn't have in my training as a cosmetic chemist. This book is very easy to read and the study guide is a helpful tool as well.

An essential guide - Don't go shopping without it.
A friend of mine recommended this book after she saw the authors talking about it on TV. I now know why it was so hard for me to find cosmetics that suit my sensitive skin. The truth is that I don't have sensitive skin but I was being taken in by all the hype. Those expensive creams that promised to moisturise my skin and keep it looking good were full of junk that was eating away at my face. ...
