Laughed and cried
I had the best experience while reading this book - a purring cat curled up in my lap. I laughed at some of these stories, cried at others (especially the one about Angel). The book also reinforced for me how important it is to have interactive play sessions with your cat each day.

YOU SHOULD READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crossing Jordan is a book that will make it cry. It shows you that it doesn't matter how you look, anyone can be your friend. To all the people who dislike people who aren't your skin color, read Crossing Jordan and I know you'll change your mind. -Kayla Parker (11) Tallahassee, FL

The next best thing to having a master baker in your kitchen
I've had this book for over 8 years and simply put, this is the one bread book all bakers should have in their homes. There are other books on bread and they certainly have their places, but this is the one you'll come back to time and time again. The well laid-out organization, the amazing variety of bread recipes, the fairly easy-to-follow recipes, and the short but insightful introduction & ...

Walk the Line in this New World
-"Photojournalist John Annerino plunges into a world few Americans ever consider, much less confront: a pitiless trek through the southwestern Arizona Desert that can deliver a man to steady work - or to a whimpering death," Laura Brooks, The Arizona Daily Star. -"Anyone interested in this slaughter should run, not walk, to John Annerino's Dead in Their Tracks," Charles Bowden, author of Down ...

Moved...
I was "moved" and inspired by this book which was a gift from a respected Executive Coach. This books assists all that want to deepen their connection to their life's work or find out what their life's work is. The author states that far too many people trudge through a mediocre work life - scrambling through day-to-day "busyness" towards exhaustion. Rather he encourages more time for ...

THE Transcendent "Self-Help" Book-and a Sequel Available Now Too!
The inhabitants of our alienated modern society--and those suffering globally from its negative influences--are desperate for meaning. Self-Help books abound beyond belief. People of all ages, especially in the workplace and corporate world, live lives of such "quiet desperation," as Thoreau wrote, that they can barely discern even the surface they're skating on, much less the depths that lay ...

Articulate Adventurer
Who was it who said, "less is more"? That's one truth that stands out in Jonathan Waterman's "Artic Crossing" - a epical solo trip of the Northwest Passage done without fanfare, without oodles of sponsorship dough. I liked the author's cool, understated writing style, the wry observations about his sufferings and about the Inuits. No hyperbole, none of self-inflation that is so common in ...

Forgiveness is the rule, not the exception
Anything worth having is worth fighting for, but how hard is it supposed to be? Kelli Adams knew that marrying Jhordan, the love of her life, wouldn't always be perfect, but she never expected to be completely rejected after less than a year of marriage. Surely, a wife could expect love and affection from her husband on the regular. Crossing Jhordan's River is more than Christian fiction, or ...

A real page-turner!
. When you think of an east coast university professor who specializes in the humanities--Shakespearean literature, in this case--you probably won't be visualizing someone who started adulthood by engaging in vicious aerial gunnery duels with Japanese fighters and otherwise living the stressful, profane, hazardous life of an enlisted sailor on three World War II aircraft carriers, one of which ...

healers mental handbook
This book has become a handbook in my practice of Life Coaching using the modality of Rapid Eye Technology. It is amazing how the author clearly explains the mind states of each archetype and how to get into balance. Connecting these archetypes to a chakra is genius. Simple, concise, to the point, easy to use. I am hoping Wauters is working on connecting archetypes to all 12 chakras, she has ...

Every single time! To a true fan this is a great book!!!!!!!
When my mum told that there was a Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series where they actually were in the same book, I was really excited! I was so desperate just to get hold of a tiny snipit of atleast one of these supermysteries! I managed to get hold of a load of the first chapters. AND IN PRACTICALLY EVERYONE i read where Nancy and the boys meet at the beginning is a small paragraph near the top on ...

Riveting! A must-read!
Wow! I devoured Mark's book in a few days. It was hard to put down! I even put off bathroom breaks due to being so absorbed with the story! Between Mark's personal story woven with the teachings of Ellias (William) Lonsdale, the book is rich with easily digestible yet profound information in a "familiar" setting. It's like being right there with Mark and Ellias and all the others. I gifted this ...

An unbelievably pleasant surprise...
I've always had more of a 'thing' for the playing card deck than the tarot. Playing cards always sat better with my spirit; though I often just wondered if it was the size of the tarot deck that just didn't fit comfortably enough in my small hands. Then I came across this book. Sharon Jeffers so perfectly explained why the cards are such an important piece of our society as well as a divination ...

The Heart of Grief
On September 11, 2001, many sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters died. I lost my own son 10 years ago and since that time I have wondered what can really be of help to parents, or other grievers in learning to live with such loss. Now, more than ever, life seems so fragile in this world and the need for understanding grief as important as ever. It is so hard when grief is ...

Contact is Not Discipline - It's Ritual
When Rob Knapp writes about contact not being a discipline, but a ritual, with reference made to Jim Loehr, he is from my perspective, discussing the most useful tool one can deploy in taking oneself to a higher level of performance. Given the foregoing, in my view, this is a must read book, for anyone focused, competitive and driven.

Absorbingly Good Reading
I thouroughly enjoyed reading this book. The author writes well and is engaging in his description of the Sahara and the people he encounters. He also writes to educate the reader about the history of the salt trade and gives a thoughtful analysis of his feelings about his journey. This is a wonderful story about the kind of travel experience few of us will ever have. It also inspired me to ...
