Another thought provoking work from Pfeffer
I've been an avid Pfeffer fan since 'Resource Dependency', so am inclined to give him 5 stars for anything he writes. The main themes in here are extremely thought provoking and are great for jogging one's brain to think thorough one's management assumptions. A few of his analogies are weak...I believe there are better cases as analogies for some of Pfeffer's points. He relies upon his ...

WOW!!!
This book is amazing! I starting following a very small portion of the recommendations in this book but still lost 7 pounds in the first week. As I add more and more concepts I see the weight falling away. Plus, I feel great while doing it and haven't felt hungry or deprived in any way. I'm amazed this book isn't more well known but I guess that's the political suppression of "them" for you! LOL

Another Excellent Book By James Patterson
Daniel X was a totally different book from James Patterson's normal books, but still the high quality that I have come to expect from him. He is by far one of the best writers we have had in a very long time. Read this book, you will be hooked from page 1!

What's not to love about a SEAL?
I'll admit, there's something about those SEALs that just make me hot! Every one I've ever read about is the ultimate Alpha, and Clint is no exception. And Morganna is the type of heroine that I love. Strong, capable, and willing to do whatever it takes. I'd definitely recommend this series to friends.

Why Trade
A good book, though most business people will disagree, but most working people will cheer. Over the last 30 plus years things have gotten so bad that our biggest exports, are jobs. And our leaders say this is good for America. You think? We have trade deficits with just about every trading partner, if they can be so described. But no one in power thinks we need to do anything to change ...

My Son loves this book
I bought this for my son and he's carried it with him to and from school for nearly a month. He won't be parted with it, and any book that interests my kid that much has GOT to be good. The book is filled with fun projects, and is not just a father/son book (although my husband does read it with him), but also a brother/brother book, or a fun book on its own. I will probably purchase this book ...
The Secret War with Iran: The 30-Year Clandestine Struggle Against the World's Most Dangerous Terrorist Power
Ronen Bergman Ph.D.
Free Press
, 2008
In the years since 9/11, the U.S. war on terror has focused on al-Qaeda, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Coverage of Iran has been devoted almost exclusively to its nuclear ambitions. Yet, as Ronen Bergman's groundbreaking reporting in this vital investigative history reveals, for thirty years, Iran has been the world's leading sponsor of global terror and stands as the most formidable sponsor of terror in the world today. Bergman, one of Israel's top ...

Libby turns bad girl...
I have fallen hard for the Drake series. I think it would be neat to see how these girls handle parenting and see how Elle's kids get into trouble...or maybe she will surprise us and not have any kids (Jackson doesn't seem like the "daddy" type). Anyways, I loved Libby in this book even though she is not one of my favorites of the sisters. It brought a new perspective to the good girl. I ...

I haven't completely finished reading the book, but I must say that it is very useful and full of wonderful information, provided in an entertaining way. Mr. Grylls enthusiasm in sharing his knowledge is apparent and holds your attention and also helps you to remember his tips (such as figuring out your prioritites in a survial situation - Protection, Rescue, Water, Food, summarized in a helpful ...

Unintelligent design explained
This book is a philosophical work rather than straight science, the author does an excellent job of looking at all the various species of darwinian theories and their mutations, from scientific,to pop culture to philosophical, and subjecting them to a harsh environment of critical thought and logic, so selecting out the fittest for survival at the end of the book.I may be a bit biased as I have ...

Nothing... Something to get excited about
I'll admit, writing a book about nothing and making it exciting is probably a challenging thing to do. This is going to be a rather odd thing to bring up at the start of the review, but I have to ask did people read a different book than I did? Seriously, I read through just about every negative review and the points made against the book are barely in the book I read. If anything, they focus ...

Working Mom
I love this book. Very practical and straight forward: When to feed, when to play when to nap/sleep. From the hospital my daughter woke up every 3 hours to eat. Following the Babywise advice, at 10 weeks on the dot she started sleeping thru the night. She is now 6 months old and I can count on one hand the times she has woken up before 6:30 AM since she started sleeping thru the night. I have ...

Dangerous yet so succulent!
What a great read--it totally took me out of the real world and into a fantasy world, all at the touch of a button. I really got into it and loved the way the story flowed. It was a hot read, don't get me wrong, but it was atypical erotica. So, yeah, don't let this one pass you up. I also liked Playtime.

This man is funny - no, I mean it. Really funny.
I picked up a copy of Mr. Klosterman's latest book on CD to listen to in my car as a commuter pick-me-up. I hadn't heard of him before and bought the CDs blindly. I needed some driving company and his work seemed as good as any in the store. Let me say that this is probably the single best uninformed consumer purchase I have made. Maybe not ever, but at least this year. I laughed out ...

Dangerous to Read This to Dogs
This book is an endless source of levity and promotes enough loud laughter to scare your dog out of the room! It's so great I've already gotten 3 other folks hooked on it. My husband and I were reading one of these stories aloud the other day - the one about "How to Make Your Owner Look Like an Idiot" while Scottie slept at our feet. Or so we thought he was sleeping. The next day on his ...

Amazing read! A gold star book!
As if being a 13-year-old, eighth grade male isn't bad enough, (there's girls to impress, homework to catch up on, drums to practice), try finding out your five-year-old brother has leukemia. It started the morning Steven left his little brother, Jeffrey, on a stool while he made his "moatmeal." Jeffrey fell and the bleeding started. Their mother races out the front door to take Jeffrey to the ...
