A useful guide
This is an excellant book for travel. The book gives you common pharses used for every day conversation and also an english to dari or dari to english dictionary. It even has a special section for pharses used by aid workers.

Good learning tool
This is a good book for learning phrases. The vocabulary is not as extensive as a straightforward dictionary but I am able to converse much better using the help of these phrases.

This is a great book to use to learn Kabuli Dari (the version of Persian spoken in Kabul). I have not been able to find a better book in English for learning Dari. Most of the books available are for learning Farsi (the version of Persian spoken in Iran). I feel that some of the other reviewers have unfairly harsh in their reviews.
