The first and best SF tragedy I've ever read.
The series seems to continue with small tragedies happening to the main character. Every time, she overcomes the setback and comes out stronger, until the last tragedy which simply brings all of the others to the forefront and depresses her more than anything before. While I am not one for tragedies, it is a tale well told which will have you walking around numb for days afterward.

The Cold White North
What would you do if you lived in a world where every year the winter became colder, the food more scarce, and wild bands of marauding warriors came to steal your children, food, and lives. This is the world of Marika as she struggles to find her place in it. Witches, wizards, and warriors - All the making's of a great tale. I highly recommend this and all the books in the darkwar trilogy.

The Godkiller Strikes
Wrath of a Mad God (2008) is the third fantasy novel of the Darkwar Saga, following Into a Dark Realm. In the previous volume, the necromancer Leso Varen traps Miranda and gives her to the Dasati Deathpriests. The boys are captured by Salmater troops. Pug and his friends travel the Star Bridge to Omadrabar and find Macros the Black in a Dasati body. In this novel, on Kelewan, Miranda escapes ...

My favorite so far!!!
I've read this entire series over the past several months (I think there are what 20 books so far?). I have thoroughly enjoyed it, I had a hard time getting through the "Krondor" books, but they were interesting in their own way. I absolutely loved this book though! I enjoyed how Mr. Feist fleshed out the people from this "2nd level of hell". It is to date my favorite of the series (even ...

Next Best Midkemia Trilogy
Anyone who has read the Midkemia books to this point will be thrilled to know that the story continues. This book is a great next step in the world that has captured it's fans imaginations from the onset.

In a word - brilliant
I'll admit - I'm a longtime Feist fan (as is probably evident by my reviews of his books on this site), and have been anxiously awaiting this second installment of the Darkwar Saga to come out on paperback. Feist has written virtually all of his books in small groups - the Riftwar Saga, the Serpentwar Saga, etc. Yet his brilliance lies in tying threads connecting these sometimes seemingly ...

Break-Neck conclusion to the trilogy
The last of the trilogy, Ceremony takes the world Cook described richly in the first two books and exposes it to the first meeting of this society with a major space-faring race. That race is human, and could easily be us in the future. We only read snippets about these humans, but learn enough to know we are fighting amongst ourselves and the Meth (the race of the Darkwar trilogy) are about to ...
