Accomplishes its title's claim, and does it VERY well.
I started a consulting business months ago, and before I created a web site for it I read much of this book. I expected that many of my clients would find me by using Internet search engines, so I minded some of the techniques and principles explained in this book as I designed my web site. And boy did it pay off. Using a simple, forty dollar application, I created and published a web site that ...

The ONLY Book You Will Ever Need To Master PHP/MySQL
I cracked open this book knowing only basic HTML. About halfway through it, I was a website developer. By the end of the book, I was a website professional with highly sought after skills. This book is not only written well, but is written in a manner that kept my short-spanned attention all the way through with plenty of momentum. Possibly the only computer book I have ever read all the ...

Useful for experienced SQL Server users
I'm about 1/3 of the way through this book. As a moderately experienced SQL Server developer, I find the book useful as an exam prep beause it briefly reviews and previews the information, although it relies on the reader already being somewhat familiar with the subject. For example, the text explanations and code snippets are good, but there are very few screenshots or other figures. ...

Excellent!
This book is perfect for the novice. It guides you to the key components for MS Access without all the "techie" language. It also points out informative tips and clues to improve your database. This is specific for 2007, which really does make a difference since the security features have changed dramatically. There is a website for the examples. It is easy to download. The book states you ...

Excellent book for advanced users
The title of this book is very appropriate. Great coverage on performance, reliability, backup & recovery. Definitely not an introductory book. There were a couple of places where the writing was hard to follow, but I'm sure that'll be fixed in the next printing.

Just simply a great reference for SQL Server 2005
Even for a beginner like me. This is a great book as a reference or if you learn by experimenting and need a book to look up things here and there. I'm not an expert with SQL Server but it really seems like this book is a must have if you're dealing with SQL Server setup, management, etc..

A great getting started guide
This was a great getting started guide. It will help an end users Access from just starting out to intermediate. If you're looking to become proficient at macros and VBA, this is just the tip of the iceburg, but will still make a good starting point depending on your experience with previous versions of Access. It's clear examples and companion CD make learning the material easy and straight ...

A tool rather than a toolkit
This book delivers exactly what it says. Except that word "toolkit" in its title - you'd better think about this book being a single tool, not a whole toolkit. Ralph Kimball actually has a whole lot of books on data warehousing published, this is one of them, a tool in the toolkit. This one seems like a good starting point to the entire series, and it only shows a single facet - the dimensional ...

Access 2007 guide
Inside Out is a good guide to using Access 2007. It takes some effort to find the section that will tell you how to do what you're trying to do, and it's a bit frustrating to have to go to the CD for more help, but all in all, definitely a useful tool. I found this guide more helpful than "How to Do Everything in Access 2007."

Excellent book
I've read the 1st book 3 times and I've been awaiting a follow up since. The wait has paid off and Bill has done a terrific job on this one as well. Bill's writing style is consistent(as always) and he explains advanced concepts in a easy to follow manner. The biggest payoff for me was to meet Bill at PDC and have him sign my copy :)
